No network connection could be found

despite me using my internet connection to post this....

Was working fine yesterday, nothing on my pc has changed and now i can't access the client at all, gets stuck at "Collecting local assets 5/39" with the prompt "No network connection could be found. Please check your connection and try again"

Microsoft Teams, Chrome, Discord, other games etc all work fine.

Even tried removing anti virus, reinstalling the game and still no luck

If i leave it for a while it comes up with error 10097

Having the same issue too but have you found a solution on your side yet? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that didn't work. I can play it though on my tablet and mobile fine. Desktop has gotten me no

I just had this issue but disabling my antivirus fixed it. (I use avast)

That makes sense, I have avast and tried it and got it to work after disabling it. Do you might know though if there’s a way to not disable it but to let the app bypass the firewall from blocking the connection?

Add it as an exception to Avast. I havent tried yet personally, but I'm sure that would work.

Sadly I was able to add the program as an exception to Avast and it still won't run. Please help!

having same error. added the pokemon tcg website and the local desktop app as firewall exceptions, no success. turned off firewall and tried to start, still no success. completely turned off Avast and still no success.

No network connection could be found
