Hooray new balance patch
More Sirfetch'd nerfs, which I would be ok with if Brutal Swing was just viable. Funny how the patch is called 'Revival Stars' and the game is still going downhill and the worst Pokemon in the game is still sitting there getting nothing. I was at least excited for the Meows buffs, but they were like the worst buffs possible. The devs just don't understand what to buff. Goodra needs a better leveling curve, Aegislash needs Iron Head to become usable, Sirfetch'd needs a less laggy and hitstun brutal swing, and Falinks... needs all those terrible design choices to be fixed. Seriously, it loses to more than 20% of the roster. What did they do to this game :(

I still try to play...
The good thing I noticed is that yes, for me, Aegislash does seem a bit less squishy early game which means I last longer and level up faster in ranked (and casuals).
The rest, I don't know well enough (Falinks, Goodra, Sirfetch'd). Some other changes you didn't mention this time, irritate me as well.
Frustrating, I totally get it!

Am I the only one that can't tell the difference between the day the game came out and current?
It might be because I don't focus on power and just play the way I enjoy
Even after Ceruledge took some nerfs I could still play her perfectly
I don't feel any differences

Hmmmmm, I'm not sure how to explain... I guess for me it's if I've been playing with a specific pokemon consistently in a specific stadium, I can tell when certain buffs or nerfs occur.
Remember that the word buff doesn't necessarily equate to power, just a positive increase in some things or a positive decrease in others (like cooldown times before a move is available again).
Nerfs are things that negatively impact the Pokemon, like an increase in cooldown times, or decreases in other things (yes attack dmg dealt but can also be things like a decrease in the range of the reach for moves, or decreases in status effects dealt out)
Like Ceruledge. She didn't have a buff since before Sept 2025, yet I still played her in all battle types, including ranked. But then a few rounds ago she finally got one! I felt the difference in gameplay, lasting longer before getting KOd, having my attacks do more damage and was consistently doing better overall than before. (I'm in the top 50 globally ranked for Ceruledge 😉)
Blastoise.... Ah good old Blastoise. He was super awesome 😎 but then nerfed.... I still use him because he's still good and I enjoy surfing through the other team, pushing them outta the way.... However others have been buffed and the balance of everything has slightly shifted. That means my strategies change and when I'm ranking up my decisions on who to play with also change (depending on who gets banned and picked first, and team needs of course).
As for casuals & quicks (which I enjoy playing daily) I just play with whichever Pokemon I'm in the mood for 😁 and have fun with it. Buffs are nice, nerfs can be frustrating but, I still play 😎.

Lol .. thx but nah, that title goes to the top 10... I just have fun 😎... Anyone can climb the ladders of global rankings as long as they play enough 😉 (and win)
