Whodunit? A Pokémon Mystery (5)

(My gods it has been a while since I did one of these)

You stare out the window, watching the rain pound against the glass. All morning it has been pouring relentlessly. To you this is fitting, matching the dark mystery that is plaguing your mind. You turn around and look at the dead rich trainer that is lying on the ground. You then look up at his three Pokémon, each looking nervous and scared.

"Tell me one more time what each of you were doing this morning at the time of the attack," you say as you take a seat in one of the plush, expensive chairs.

"I-I w-was c-collec-cting berries for his b-breakfast," the Gardevoir answers with chattering teath. She shivers and pulls her towel tighter around her, still soaking wet from the rain.

"I was out on my usual morning jog," the Cinderace informs you. He is in fact wearing a T-Shirt and shorts, dressed perfectly for a jog.

"I was giving my fur shampoo and brushing," the Ninetales tells you, whipping his mane to put how fabulous he looks on display. "You think these glorious looks come natural? Ha! Honey, I wish!"

You grumble. All of the alibis are consistent with their first answers. But then, it clicks. One of them just doesn't make sense.

"I know who did it," You state with pride. All three Pokémon stare at you expectantly. "The culprit was..."

Who?

Was Gardevoir really collecting berries? Was Cinderace actually on a run? Was Ninetales truly pampering himself?
