I guess that's true. I prefer stories/lore to match up otherwise I spend time trying to figure it all out.... Other franchises do the same thing with mismatched storylines and it drives me silly sometimes. I just have to think of it as a multiverse whole where the players/characters may be the same but the stories are different, perhaps....... Hmmmmm ..........

The games, anime, manga, and other spinoffs like origins and the new films have a somewhat similar yet different timeline. That's just how it has always been.

She only exists in the anime. She is not part of the games. People who like the games' stories are not wrong for liking them more than the anime's stories.
