I understand you don't like it, thank you for saying that. But it standing for mixed is a little wrong. While it has been used that way occasionally, it has also been used in other ways, mostly it not implying male or female, and it doesn't really have a specific pronunciation or origin from what I've searched. I don't have solid evidence of how different people usually interpret the x, though, so that's all I can say on the matter. I did search a little, though, to see how the sites that appear on the first page interpret it, and it seems like all of the sites that appeared agree on the idea that it's supposed to represent something unknown or unspecified (random bit of trivia I found I couldn't fit anywhere here: it's actually a gender neutral term, not exclusive to non-binary people, and its initial uses were mostly in the context of binary people not wanting to tell people their gender or wanting to avoid the sexist connotations of Mrs., Ms., and Miss).
I understand you don't like it and respect that, I just wanted to correct your misconception.

Me, @DoubleCure is by far the number one top contributor regarding Pokemon TCG (even though I've played every main Pokemon game too).
I've been contributing for years around here, basically since this forum started... with an extensive background as a Judge and long term RL player, I don't just play the game, I understand the mechanics and rulings better than anyone else in this space, not to mention that I've won multiple tournaments... and DoubleCure is currently still a top player in both TCG Live and TCG Pocket, .
So, whether it’s breaking down complex rules, or meta analysis, or game mechanics stuff, etc. in Live and Pocket, me DoubleCure provides the most reliable information and battle tested insights for this community.
Also, I'm one of the few that makes this forum a useful platform for actual playing content, instead of a pile of childish and repetitive garbadge with zero interest for anyone coming here looking for TCG-related information.
That said, yes for sure DoubleCure is the most popular and the best source for everyone that comes here for actual Pokemon TCG games content.
