Ceruledge leaps through a bush, immediately striking the Pokémon hiding behind it with Shadow Claw. You catch up to see that it is a Dragonair that your Pokémon has found. The Dragon type looks much bigger than most others of its species as well as a different color. In the moonlight its slick magenta scales are shimmering, creating a beautiful dazzle that hurts to look at but so wonderous that you can't look away. This would be an amazing moment if it weren't for the fact that the Shiny Dragonair is utterly furious.

The snake begins to shout at you, squealing and growling to make its anger known. "I'm sorry," you tell it as you slowly back away with your hands up. "I didn't mean for that to happen. Ceruledge acted on its own! We'll go now."

You try to get away, but Dragonair refuses to let you, shooting an Ice Beam at you. If it weren't for Ceruledge leaping in the way you would have gotten hit right in the face. "Thanks," you say, the Fire Blades Pokémon grunting with a nod in response. "Well if it wants a fight we'll give it one. Use Night Slash!"

Ceruledge dashes to the Dragon type, blades extended and ready to strike. Dragonair howls loudly, building up blue energy at its mouth. Your Pokémon is just about to hit, but the shiny unleashes its Dragon Pulse, forcing Ceruledge to stop its advance and dodge. "Don't slow down," you shout as the Fire/Ghost type stables itself. "Use Phantom Force!"

Ceruledge drops back, instantly falling into a shadowy portal that opened behind it. Dragonair stays on guard, constantly glancing in all directions. After a few moments, your Pokémon jumps out from another void right behind the Dragon type. You're positive it will be an easy hit, but the serpent has quicker reflexes than you anticipated. It twists around and immediately fires off a Hydro Pump, a move you didn't expect from a wild Dragonair.

Your Pokémon manages to hit the opponent with its blade before getting blasted back by the water. While both sides did take damage, Ceruledge got the worse blow by getting a super effective hit. "Can you keep going," you ask. The Fire Blades Pokémon pushes itself back to its feet and nods at you. "Good. Use Bitter Blade!"

Ceruledge sprigs forward, swords extended and burning with purple flames. Dragonair squeals as it gathers electricity, which it launches as a Thunderbolt. Your Pokémon twists out the way, narrowly avoiding the attack, then gives itself one more push off the ground. The Fire/Ghost type closes the distance, slicing the target with Bitter Blade. While not very effective, you're still excited because this gives Ceruledge a bit of its health back.

"Great job," you praise. "Now keep the pressure on! Phantom Force!"

Once again Ceruledge drops into a dark purple portal that closes after it enters. The shiny stays on high alert, water already flowing around its mouth. A void begins to grow behind the Dragonair, and it turns quickly to attack. However, the portal doesn't finish opening. Instead, a different one appears beside the Dragon type and your Pokémon strikes before the target can react.

"That's the stuff," you cheer as you jump up and down, feeling pumped from all the action. "Use Night Slash!"

As Ceruledge moves to attack, Dragonair blasts an unexpected Thunderbolt right at you. You don't have time to dodge but only brace for impact, raising your arms in front of yourself defensively. Right before it hits you, though, the Fire Blade Pokémon leaps in the way, taking the attack square in the chest. A critical hit!

"A-Are you okay," you question worriedly. Slowly Ceruledge manages to stagger to its feet, but it flinches slightly from paralyses. "Oh, shoot. You got hit badly. Should we need to just run for it?"

Ceruledge shakes its head, taking a battle stance as it glares at Dragonair, which has a smug smirk on its face. "Alright, then let's go. Use Bitter Blade," you command. Your Pokémon sprints to the shiny, now much slowly than before. The opponent snickers and launches a Hydro Pump, which Ceruledge almost dodges, taking a bit of the move in the left arm. This doesn't stop the Fire Blades Pokémon, though. It continues its advance, making it to Dragonair and slashing it with a burning sword.

"Yeah! Nice hit," you holler. Dragonair doesn't seem bothered by this, though, and uses their close proximity to its advantage. The Dragon type wraps itself around Ceruledge and unleashes a Dragon Pulse right in the purple one's face. Your Pokémon can't take much more, dropping down to knee as it takes the hit. the shiny is getting arrogant, releasing the Fire/Ghost and just smacking it to the ground with its tail, not even using an attack.

"Look, if we need to quit, we can," you state with worry. "You don't need to take any more pain."

The purple one shakes its head at you as it rises back to its feet. It grunts and groans with pain, but it toughs it out. Ceruledge then crosses its arms above its head and swings them downward powerfully, all the electricity disbursing from its body. It cured itself from paralyses so you wouldn't worry. Dragonair's smirk is instantly wiped from its face as Ceruledge makes its way to it in one quick jump. Your Pokémon then pulls its blade back as blue energy fills it, slicing the target with an the sword. Unsure what the attack was, you pull out your Dex.

Scale Slash. Dragon type physical attack. Seventy base damage that has a high chance at critical hit. You look at what other Pokémon can learn the attack and it's mostly Dragon types with a few exceptions, Ceruledge being one of them. Among this list is also Dragonite and Drakeon.

When you look up from the PokeDex you see that the attack knocked Dragonair out, finishing the fight. "Great job," you praise your Pokémon. Even though Ceruledge doesn't have a mouth, you can tell by the look in its eye that it would be smiling. You pull out a PokeBall and throw it at the fallen shiny.

    One shake…

    Two shakes…

    BA-DING!!!

You just caught a Shiny Dragonair!

You happily pick up your new Pokémon and let it out. "Welcome to the team," you tell it with a smile. The Dragon type eyes you for a second before relaxing, making a happy sound in response. "Come on, let's get back to my camp. The others will be stoked to meet you!"

Time Skip because that's all I've got for the forest

It's about midday of the day after your new catch and you finally arrive at Ghost Town. Yeah… That's literally the name. You enter the place, expecting it to be deserted, but instead you find the place packed with people and Pokémon alike. With much struggle you manage to navigate your way through the crowded sidewalk and find the town's Gym. As you approach you are surprised to find a familiar person.

"Jerry," you exclaim with shock. The boy turns to look at you and is obviously irritated.

"Oh, great," he says dramatically. "It's you!"

"I thought you would've been a lot farther than this," you state.

"So did I," he shouts with annoyance. "But I've been stuck here for the last three days! I can't get past the Gym Leader!"

"That's a shame," you tell him but you can't stop the smirk that appears on your face. Jerry is about to snap at you, but there's a loud BOOM that cuts him off.

"What was that," he mutters, rushing off to go check it out.

    Decision time!

Do you go see what it is or just challenge the Gym?

Also, next part will be short no matter the choice

Another question is do y'all want a normal Dragonite or Lacosian one?

    I didn't intend for a Shiny

That was actually a last minute decision

    Anyways,
