THIS ISN'T MINE!!!

@Eremas wrote these!

Enjoy!

(this story draws inspiration from one in IRC)

Akala island

MC travels where they shouldn't before ghost trial and catches fun[dun dun dun] ice type

I have no idea how to get back to that balloon signaling the PMC. Where can I catch my breathe? I need sandwich. I smell salty air. Wait let out Dartrix. Dartrix led the way to shores. Get on parents' Pokemon to surf. Meet a funny guy looking for a person or Pokemon to tickle his Starmie. I should get going. Through some trees there's a field. Some trainers are moving slowly carefully so I just stayed on the path because it's best to avoid a battle here.

A Pokemon hopped out of the tall grass! I flip out my trusty Dex to see what it is.

Pkmn Joey sense out Garchomp! Over the hill on the other side on the path our protagonist walks unknowingly of the dangers. Doing what Izzy saw on TV. Runs the path into the Pikachu with a hat on. The Dex chirps,"It is Pikachu!" While sleeping, it generates electricity in the sacs in its cheeks. If it’s not getting enough sleep, it will be able to use only weak electricity ... But this one wasn't sleeping.

I sent out the Sliggo and it's shell started sparking. Pikachu started slowly hopping toward my Sliggo. The wind had picked up. It was swirling around Pikachu and Sliggo used Takedown instinctively. Pikachu was knocked back. And I recalled Sliggo and dropped a Poké Doll. Dartrix let out a hoot and I chuckled. "You need to find a home."

Somewhere a Pikachu's cheeks are getting lighter. More yellow. More electricity is being charged in them. Izzy senses something.

Dartrix starts evolving.

Dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun DUN DUN DUN

Pikachu jumps from the bush and my hair stands up. Before I get to shout,"Decidueye use Spirit Shackle." I look intently at Pikachu and arrows with chains appear around it. With a purple glow.

I stand flabbergasted. The fight seemed to be over before it started.

I kneel down and spray Pikachu. And walk off into the sunset with my Decidueye.

I have hot dogs burning by the fire but I'm packing this tent up. It will be soon the Pokemon wake up. So then I sit. Eat my hot dogs. Bring back my pokemon and set off past the research lab.

It's only been a day since the Pikachu battle. And still I cannot take off the grin from my face.

~~Rustling~~

Bewear charges! The Rangers should have been more careful.

I cannot stop thinking about the noodles I had to nights ago. I send out my Sliggo. While running I sprain my ankle.

But a wild Crabomidable appears and start fighting Bewear. The tag team was too much for it and before I could throw a Bait or Rock the Bewear looked at me and ran off. It was so much more annoying Crabomidable ran off running after it.

I check my Sliggo and none of the Bewear scratches had made a mark. I guess I won't need to find a bigger shell. I'll double check but the Forrest is right here so we walked in. The humidity increases.

I was expecting a Crabomidable by this point but it was too late now. A cute girl runs up to me asking about some food. I agree to help her. I just thought the mossy hair she had was kind of tacky because of the location. I mean I heard of many of these Forrest girls having green hair...

I get to a part in her instructions when Sudowoodo need to be looked out for. But there were so many of them scattered around. Which hollow tree is the right one that is moving or a Sudowoodo? I look up my Rotom Dex for the entry for Sudowoodo. I haven't seen what a Sudowoodo looks like. It's time to make a fifty fifty decision. I choose and Sudowoodo attacked. But it glinted in the sun rays beaming down on it. School told me about these kinds of Pokemon. They were different somehow. Perfect slightly. Unchanging even if left in the PC. Many known to be caught up by trainers because of their rarity. Pfft.

Sudowoodo puts it's hands up and blows a raspberry at me! Plflflftt!

I shove Sliggo to fight them. But the other Sudowoodo were just swaying,"Go Sliggo use Body Press." And it runs away. There's one more chance to find what I need for this recipe. Which hollow tree is it? I choose correctly and head back to the girl. She expects a battle as gratification and Sliggo and Decidueye team up to Hammer Away at the trial.

I set of again. I wasn't feeling well. My body wasn't acting the way it should. I walk towards the doctor I saw on the way but black out.

I wake up in a trailer. There are some machines I couldn't recognize. Big boxy things.

A man walks into the trailer from outside. With a rock in their hand. "Oh you've must have bumped your head." I listen closely. "You were found along the road. Before I took you in you were in bad shape."

I couldn't muster up courage to say anything. I look and notice the rock has some interesting pattern. He's a scientist! I shiver. I must have gotten lucky.

"Well you can get going now. Your fine."

"My name is Izzy."

"It doesn't matter now. You will need to turn the handle."

I feel offended. But he's not given me a chance. I should go before I get into trouble. I feel my clothes weren't torn so I must be alright.

I decide it's time to go. I gather my things. Give him a last look and get outside. I see a Pikachu sitting up. I move and it hops off.

We gotta stay in the news. After being right. Me and my Pokemon must have for seen this nature wrath. This surge of environmental surge. It was a game to know where to step. Lightening was falling. Lightening that we stops a section of Akala from beeing sight seen. Pikachu from earlier used a Z-move.

The Storm flashed. Light was building up at a spot. Lighting fell and rolled against the ground. Into a Swinub. This Swinub was almost split in two(if it had any effect). Pikachu ran off out of energy now. This was my moment Izzy thought. She mustered her courage and threw a ball and Swinub looked at her before going in. I heard the music that would play on the TV as a kid when they showed a capture. But now it was silent. Had I gone deaf… but it rolled once, twice. There was a pause. And it rolled again. Swinub was caught.

Over the next few days I made it to a soot covered path. This beats doing math homework I guess. It was lonely battling the last few days. I was trudging along. Each step was like going up a stair. I passed trainers in the tall grass with their Pokemon battling wild battles. I saw a Flechinder.

Izzy now faced a trainer that they could not avoid. It was a showdown. And their eyes met and it was on!

I nervously reached for a Poke Ball and fumbled around. I didn't readjust for this situation and accidently sent out Decidueye.

"Let's Hammer Away Magmar! Go! Now!" Hiker David militarily shouted. He wanted to advance on me.

So I paid attention to my breathe. Did Tai Chi training pay off finally? This was expert mode. We are dodging what would be grave injuries.

"Magmar Fire Punch away!"

Decidueye could only start building up speed but not fast enough. Magmar hit one before it got away. This was bad mannered but Decidueye had to use some advantage or we weren't going to make this. I felt the pain of that punch.

Decidueye let out a Razor Leaf. It went crazy. Going everywhere. Man this will be longer than those wild battles.

And Hiker David sent a command,"Okay that didn't work let's change a strategy. Confuse Ray! And make it quick with another Fire Punch!!" Decidueye got confused started spinning.

Magmar jumped and hit a punch upwordsly. That is to say in an upward direction. But not before Decidueye used a Spirit Shackle normally effectively. Magmar was building up heat. The humidity made the surroundings harder to breathe. After a Sunny Day from it the time to enjoy this battle was now. And from range Decidueye used another Spirit Shackle. Magmar must have adored his trainer because it refused to go down. Sending a Lava Plume and Decidueye burned finished the battle in a flash. Next up was Kiawe.

The next trial was going to be largely uneventful I had thought. I started thinking how routes have a variety of types. Started asking myself what type of Pokemon the Trial will bring.

Maybe a pompous Flying type? This trial could possibly have a Pokemon that is so very into themselves and confident. Izzy pondered.

Maybe a ground type that looks like it's from one of those Shonen? Or a tsundere characteristic one, wouldn't that be grand? But I am getting ahead of myself. It will probably be a Drilbur the pangolin Pokemon. It does save people from time to time. Jumping from it's burrow and being spotted doesn't happen everyday. Most people do not get this chance. Aren't in the right place at the right time. I must be a little lucky, I thought to myself. But wait, it isn't something spectacular and something absurdly normal and what is a tsundere ground type anyway? What does it all mean?

Or maybe it will be a wide Rock type Pokemon. Something savage like an Onix. Though in the history of the islands there has only been one sighting. That's what the legends say.

As I walk up to a dais there's a man! He has a fro that is pointed up. Very cool hairstyle I remember thinking. Back to retelling this story. He's naked! I get nervous and I remember this IS where the trial was supposed to be taking place. As I get closer I notice he is dressed. With a traditional Akala suit and some jewelry and he has red hair in his fro. This would be very popular with the Gen Z. He flicks away a cigarette as if I wouldn't have noticed but because behaving is my logic I won't say anything to this man.

He has me perform some sort of puzzle while he distracts me, and tests me, talking and having me look away as some illusion is set up. This should be a game show. I'm starting to get an impression this Kahuna(I later learn they aren't the Kahuna) is a hooligan. I overlook the feelings I have for him. It's going to be a fast battle. Decidueye doesn't take any playing around from trainers or their Pokemon.

I send out Decidueye and Kiawe sends out his first. Turtonator raises it's arms in a display of strength. And spits fire. Decidueye is surely going to take on this clumsy looking dragon.

"Ready to battle Izzy?" Captain Kiawe asks.

"I'm ready to win!" I retort. And Turtonator turns it's back to Decidueye looking directly at it's trainer. I am very focused now and I start seeing droplets of something falling from the sky. It makes me ponder a little and think outside of the battle and strategy I have used going up to this point. "Decidueye fly up! And Feather Dance," but I thought it was too late. And wrongly because Turtonator's shell glowed. It was heating up and this was the signature move. Feather Dance hit and I was sent into fear. Will Decidueye go down from Turtonator's Shell Trap? Was it time to go Home? But it did nothing. Decidueye was focused now. I shout.

"Quick, Spirit Shackle!" I hoped Decidueye even out in the open gets this attack off. That Turtonator's shell won't be turned again. My Decidueye lifts up an arm with it's leafy appendage up pulls back a Spirit-y arrow and let's it loose. Turtonator goes down instantly.

Captain Kiawe retreats Turtonator sending out Charizard. For some reason I thought this Pokemon was my spirit animal.

"Captain is this what you are going with?" I cannot lose now because I know all of Charizard's moves.

I switch out Decidueye for my Sliggo.

This battle will be what sets us apart. I remember fighting with Goomy and it evolving what felt like in battle. And for some reason I remember first getting Rowlet. And how Rowlet froze when first sensing this Goomy that was. I start tearing up.

Wiping my tears, I ask Sliggo almost in song," Shelter."

Charizard rained down fire on Sliggo. I shout," Keep Sheltering." Charizard's attack barely hurting Sliggo. I feel like a champion when I battle with this Pokemon. But it doesn't last long. Sliggo had other plans and jumped at this Charizard that was now sending out Slashes and even hitting a critical point. Sliggo's body press landed solidly and there was a tremble. I low pulse but it shook me from this hit.

Charizard hopped and flapped it's wings. It hopped back on it's heels.

Sliggo's Dragon Claw finished the battle with this.

"Okay this is as far as you're going to get. You little duck are going to be held here. I'm going to hit you hard here." The volcano air got hotter noticably. As Kiawe sent out his last Pokemon I used my only full restore on Sliggo. It was my little champion after all. Kiawe sent out an Alolan Marowak.

Over the travels this was the first time seeing some Pokemon like this creature. It boggled the mind how it came to being.

I flip out my Rotom Dex.

Burning Bonemarang

Burning bone that's flames cause both mental and physical pain that never go away.

When last we left our trainer Izzy she was looking at Kiawe's final Trial hurdle. The Alolan Marowak. Enjoy the rest of the Chapter, I'll leave it to you Izzy:

The top of the mountain had a pressure change. One that made Izzy get a certain ego. One that was so big it couldn't be contained. Alolan Marowak attacked Sliggo with it's Blazing Bonemarang. And no one can explain why but Izzy jumped in front of the stick. And took a sweep to the leg. Izzy started crying and shouting in a bellow of agony. Sliggo noticed Izzy couldn't contain herself and got a cry out at the ghost and fire type. It was a cry that was so strong it gathered energy and turned into an attack. Dragon Pulse was not a small dragon type attack. And then another Dragon Pulse. Again Dragon Pulses hit directly. Sliggo predicted every one of Alolan Marowak's moves. A Dragon Pulse is a strong move now. Izzy had given Sliggo a Metronome.

Just like that the battle went out as an ember after a flame. The Trial was over. But Izzy had this battle in the front of her memory for the rest of her quest to be the best. And thus she always remembered this connection she had to Sliggo. It was an unbreakable bond. The completely unrealistic bond of love a trainer has with a partner Pokemon.

A small child ran over barefoot to me. She told me she had seen a battle or two of mine on this island and how much of a fan she was of mine. She kind of went on and on for a while until I had to say goodbye. I went and got my leg injury checked out and the doctor said I should be able to move normally after applying ointment.
