Create Lobby via Unite Squad Issues
Since the update, we've noticed that if you try to create a lobby through your Unite Squad so that other squad members can join in when they want to, it will only open a lobby for the last game type (i.e. rank, casual, quick) you had played nor will it allow you to select which type of match you would like to play next.
This is frustrating!
Also, why take away our ability to switch game types while in a lobby? If a team is already assembled and everyone is in the lobby, the old system allowed us to change WHILE IN THE LOBBY from a rank to a standard casual, custom or quick stadiums WITHOUT exiting said lobby.
It is much easier to switch battle types in-lobby than to make everyone exit and then re-invite them back after selecting the match type ESPECIALLY when some members of the team cannot chat nor read any messages beyond the preset quickchats and stickers. This creates confusion among teammates.
The match selection prelobby screen looks nice, however it is impractical for trainers and teams to have the ability of the in-lobby switching between match types removed.
Please add it back. Keep the initial preselection screen if you want to, but ALSO give us back the in-lobby selection type.

To use a mic in Unite... in lobby pre-match, near the bottom center of the screen, there should be a headset icon and a microphone icon. If you do not see the icons, then your account may not have permission to chat. It's either a safety thing for minors and/or the type of account you play on.
If you are allowed to chat (minors with permission from parents and others who are not on guest accounts), then you should be able to select the microphone (🎙️) by touching it, and the line that goes through it should turn off. My mobile/phone settings require me to give permission each time I use it.
When others talk, a little mic lights up above their heads.
You may also be allowed to chat while selecting pokemon during the countdown. I can't remember exactly where the icons are, but I believe they are along the bottom of the screen... I may be wrong on that part. I'll check next time I'm in there.

Oh and in match, the icons are located on the top right hand side for mobile users... I do not know if it is the same on the Switch.

I will be adding this to the in game survey as well.
This really needs to be fixed. It is annoying and frustrating for people who like to play with their friends, squad members and battle buddies.

Over two weeks since this thread was created.
PLEASE FIX THE LOBBY BACK TO ALLOW US TO CHOOSE WHILE TEAMMATES ARE IN THE LOBBY WITH US, WHICH BATTLE TYPE WE WANT TO PLAY AS A TEAM!!!!!!
Fine, keep the initial lobby selection screen as is, so the team leader can initially choose which battle type to start inviting other friends, squad members, and previous teammates to, HOWEVER, ADD BACK IN THE OPTION TO CHANGE TYPES BETWEEN MATCHES.
This is VERY FRUSTRATING and wastes time.
I will continue adding to this thread occasionally until the change back occurs.
