If pokemon or Nintendo does promote this, a lot they should make a veteran badge or something like that for the people who where here before it got promoted, (and maybe different tiers for your star level or place on the leaderboard)

I strongly dislike forum ranks and internet points. All that should matter is the quality of your individual posts and the discussion you generate, not how much you spam the forum or how long you have been a member.
I'd rather talk to the person who joined yesterday and said something insightful as their very first post than someone who's been here for three years with all the points, stars, badges and updoots they could possibly muster only to ask me about my favourite condiment.
If I had my way, all you'd get would be a username and an avatar.

I just think there should be a way to know if the people are the pokemon Fans who found this themselves or from advertising

For people not here for Reddit Summer, Pokémon promoted these forums during a time when Reddit was apparently going to change the pricing structure for subreddits or something (I don't know, I don't use Reddit). A lot of subs threatened to shut down, so these forums were promoted as an alternative for the Pokémon sub.
This led to a flood of new members, and let's just say they were posting a lot of very controversial, inflammatory and inappropriate topics.
The forums were suspended and a lot of people banned, and the majority believed the forum was shuttered permanently, so never returned. Obviously that was not the case.
There were a few articles and YouTube videos made about the events at the time. Occasionally you might see someone talking about it now. You can probably still find this content if you are interested.
Honestly I suspect TPC may prefer that these forums stay quiet and small. Easily manageable. But if they do attempt to promote and expand the forums in the future, they had better do the same with the moderation team.
