And is that a good thing?

Idk,
good for style savvy: styling star so more people would buy it

OK. Let's say we have a hypothetical DS Mario game and a DS Style Savvy game. Let's say that, at their hypothetical release, they had the same price, quality, and amount of content, but one was much less popular. But they're hypothetically planning to add both to the Switch 2 this year. Should the hypothetical Mario game be expensive when they're the same in quality and original price? Does that sound good when the hypothetical Mario game isn't actually better than the other?
Sorry for specifying this is a hypothetical and not something that exists or might happen so much, I just want to make sure it isn't misunderstood as me spreading misinformation but I'm instead just trying to present an idea and these games do not exist.

Nintendo would probably make the Mario game more expensive then the style savvy game because they know Mario will sell
If I did it I’d probably make style savvy cheaper so more people would buy a niche franchise

I love "island saver" its my top 3 best free game.

Okay, but should the Mario game be more expensive just because it's popular?

OK, this is getting really off-track so let's just go back to FRLG now. Are they worth an extra 10$ than what gen 1 was 10 years ago? They won't even make that much money off of these ports in comparison to normal games, and the video games are already such a miniscule part of the money Pokémon makes since it's mostly merch (which a FRLG port doesn't increase, unlike remakes and new games). Would they have even lost anything if they made it 10$ like how RGBY were when those were only 20 years less developed than modern Pokémon games, while FRLG right now is even older than that? People wouldn't even be complaining as much as now. They'd barely lose a thing, especially since they're already the highest grossing franchise on earth. People would be more willing to buy them and it wouldn't even detract from new games' sales because people buy every new Pokémon game every year, both of them if applicable, and the DLC, and if they're willing to buy a port of a 20 year old game they're usually willing to buy the newer Pokémon games too.

If it was indie you’d probably be fine if it was 20$

Yes, because indie developers actually have excuses and they usually don't even port 20 year old games for that price. Pokémon has zero excuses.
