Pokémon Winds and Waves
So the rumours were true, at least as far as the title was concerned.
Coming out on Switch 2 in 2027.
What are your thoughts?
So far it looks pretty good, but it is not clear whether what we saw was running in engine. And we have little idea how it will actually play. I guess we will have to wait for subsequent trailers or more details.
The starters look fine, if a little uncanny to my eye, but maybe I am not used to them yet. The fire one might be my pick yet again.
The human designs look okay so far. I really didn't like what they did with generic trainers in SV, so I hope they will revert to something closer to SwSh.
It looks like the protagonists have some kind of rideable board, perhaps a surfboard or even a hoverboard. I am sure we'll learn more.
I hated gen 3 in part for the amount of surfing in Hoenn, so I hope it isn't too abundant or they find a way to make water traversal more interesting and bearable.
I am cautiously optimistic so far, but let's hope there are no disconcerting details revealed, like an absurd price or the removal of more key features.

It seems like top three pokemon game replacing za sv or crystal

Top three? You mean it has a chance to enter your personal top 3?
I would wait for more before making such declarations if that's what you mean.

It has a chance it’s the best looking game so far with za and frlg below it

Do you mean graphically, or overall? I would really want to see more before I decided that.
Speaking of graphics, I think showing all that water and the windmill was a deliberate decision.
"See, the framerate is fine! It's not chugging like SV."

Overall, also for some reason I don’t see differences in frame rates (besides legend arcues that game actually gives me huge migraines because it looks so bad it’s one of my least favorite games because it hurts me to play)

I mean, nice of them to prove it.

I'm going Pombon if he gets to be a wolf, Gecqua otherwise but I will reset until she's a girl because she's feminine looking.

I thoroughly enjoyed this glimpse into the new game. And glad they are taking their time putting as much into the game they can. Wild areas have never been an issue. I do think SV wild areas were fun(but I'm sceptical if it was because finding my encounter was running in circles.
I think these starters will grow on people. The greatness is so completely new. I'm sure I'll do multiple playthroughs with different starters.
