Your Hopes for Gen 10
Rumours are increasing that gen 10 will be revealed soon, with Pokémon Day being one likely date for the reveal. Given all of the discussions over the past few years regarding recent Pokémon games (and their shortcomings), I am curious: What are you hoping to see from gen 10?
What would be your dreamland scenario? The absolute best case that would cause you to rush out and buy the game day one if one or more conditions were met?
What are your reasonable expectations? The things you hope to see that seem possible or likely given the current state of the franchise and Game Freak. If most of these are present, you would probably be satisfied buying the game.
What are your dealbreakers? The conditions for which if one or more are present in the final release you would outright refuse to buy the game.
Here are my thoughts for each category:
Dreamland Scenario
- Full national Pokédex in-game
- All versions of the game run at 60 fps or above
- High resolution graphics
- Multiple difficulty modes, with harder difficulties featuring higher leveled Pokémon, smarter AI, gym leaders with larger, better teams, mandatory set battles and no exp share
- Level scaled gym leaders that can be approached in any order
- Full player customisation from the start (face, body, outfit, the works)
- A good story
- Full voice acting for every line in the game
- One version of the game with all legendaries catchable
- Large, expansive post-game in the main game, not just DLC
Reasonable Expectations
- Switch 2 version runs at 60 fps, Switch 30fps
- Reasonable graphics
- Exp share and switch battle can be disabled
- Decent non-DLC post-game
- A good story (for Pokémon)
- Voice acting in cutscenes and for main characters
- Appealing starters and evolutions
- New appealing Pokémon designs in general
Dealbreakers
- No version runs at 30 fps
- Another glitchy, low resolution mess
- No player customisation
- Ugly, unappealing Pokémon designs across the board
- Battle pass or timed/subscription based online only content
- Battle system changing from turn-based to real-time
Let me know what you think.

Fine graphics as long as they’re not super terrible
No voice acting I like doing the voices myself
No national Dex but a more expanded smaller Dex
Good Pokemon designs like from sv and swsh gs bw and not designs like dpp
I’d prefer no 3rd game and if they have to charge extra for some thing, dlc

Also I’d like if they brought back a hard mode and an easy mode

That is quite a unique take. But there is no reason the same thing couldn't be accomplished by allowing players to mute the voices in the settings.
At least get rid of the lip flaps, if they cannot be bothered to spring for voice acting. Animating speech only to have no sound come out looks awkward. It's the worst of both worlds.

What is the justification for having no national dex? If you don't care, just focus on the regional dex.

Are you talking about the modes in gen 5? That implementation was awful. You had to connect to another player to unlock the modes. That either means completing it yourself and buying a second version, or finding someone else who did.
And the hard mode didn't actually do what it was supposed to.
In principle I'd like hard and easy modes. Or whatever you want to call them. "Challenger mode" and "casual mode" or "story mode". The names don't really matter so much as how they actually change the gameplay experience.

That can be a little difficult to define. What are its roots? What can be changed and what needs to stay the same? One man's outdated relic of the past is another's irreplaceable core system.
Given Z-A's battle system and the recent online discourse about Pokémon gameplay over the past few days, I am convinced that there is a sizable portion of the fanbase that dislike the series' core gameplay and are just waiting for them to ditch the turn based system and make Pokémon entirely real-time battle. For many, it seems that turn-based games are considered unplayable, and they only tolerate Pokémon as the one exception.
And I fear Game Freak will listen to them.
If Legends were to become the real-time spin off and the main series remained turn based, that would be one thing. However, Game Freak's reluctance to allow optional deviations to their current systems, like disabling exp share or using set battle, makes me think they want to push one "modernised", universal battle system on everyone for all their games, and that system has to appeal to the lowest common denominator. And they don't like turn based RPGs.
Then again, one of the biggest critiques of Game Freak is that they are so afraid of killing their golden goose that they replicate all of the systems from the 1996 games, warts and all, with innovation and refinement only permitted at a snails pace. So maybe one of Game Freak's worst excesses will protect us from one of their others.
Or maybe they'll give us the worst of both worlds.

I very much agree with all of that you say. I do hope Gen 10 will be in Johto and kanto (good old dual region) and perhaps a Legends game tied to those regions but honestly I just want a game that makes me look forward to its release and doesn't disappoint. Also if it is rated Teen I actually want it to feel like a game rated Teen, Legends Z-A should have been rated E10+.

Realistic Wants;
Turn-Based Combat: I think real time was cool and fun, but I prefer turn based
No Gender Style Division: In Z-A the hair styles were the same for both gender. I'd like that again but including outfits. Maybe even have a non-binary option. I'd still go female but I love suits. Also, I want Sw/Sh style Romantic Tuck again.
More Post Game Content: Back in the day they had a bunch (or so I've heard). I want them to do it again.
Probably Not Going To Happen Wants;
Voice Acting: I'm fine without it, but I think it would be nice to have. I enjoy doing voices myself, but voice acting would help immerse us in the world.
More Things To Do: I think S/V was going in a good direction with multiple plot lines and Z-A with side quests, but what I want is mini-games. Things to do that isn't just plot, PokéDex, and pointless quests.
Multi-Player: Not online multiplayer. I hate those. I mean we can pick up a second remote and play with a friends. This would go great with the mini-games I was talking about.
A Well Written Villain: I highly doubt this will happen due to the way Pokémon has been going, but I want to go back to villains that aren't a random plot twist at the end of the game. I want them to be actually evil but not for no reason. However, I think Pokémon is going towards "misunderstood" and "not a real villain." I just don't enjoy that. I think that if they were to write it really good it would be okay, but at the end of the day I prefer real villains.
Things I Don't Really Care About;
World Type: Open World or Closed doesn't bother me. I'm happy either way.
Dex: I don't care about completing the PokéDex, so a National Dex would be cool but not mean anything to me.
Something I Would Absolutely Hate;
A DLC Before The Game Is Even Out: I don't mind a DLC, but making one before the game even comes out is insane.
Switch 2 Exclusive: I don't own a Switch 2 and recently got a new console, so getting one would be out of the question. Plus, there isn't enough Switch 2 Exclusive games to make it worth it yet. And because it's on 2, it would be over 70 dollars and the DLC (we all know it's gonna happen) world be over 40. Not sure if its worth it.
As long as it is on the Switch I'm getting it, but these are what I want
