RIP Cinder the Scorbunny… we hardly knew you. What about Leif the Treecko? @WildWorld1996 hasn't been around either afaik. No idea if anyone else would have an interest in this.

Not 100% but after I finish mega dimension which I got yesterday, I plan to do 100% my first save with the switch 2 edition (I am not finding 900 koroks without Zelda notes, for my sanity). Yeah the hyrule warriors games don’t seem mainline to me even though technically Nintendo stated that age of imprisonment follows the cannon storyline but I would like another big game eg: botw totk, not something smaller like the hyrule warrior games or eow.

Yeah, my opinion of what we need the next big game to be is a full camera control, realistic graphics mainline series game as Zelda.

Technically Echoes of Wisdom is a traditional Zelda game since it had Dungeons and what not with Small Keys and everything. Even the "Rifts" were mini-Dungeons to a degree but I felt there were inconsistencies in Echoes in that you had to make Smoothies/Potions for the extreme Cold on one part of the map(and consequently to reach one of the last Dungeons) but nothing for the extreme heat of Eldin Volcano like there is for Death Mountain on BotW/TotK. Technically you could also use Echoes that generated heat and then used Bind to move around on the Cold part but that made combat a lot harder. The Chibi style of Link's Awakening(remaster) and Echoes of Wisdom can be a turn-off but that's alright in my book if it means having traditional Dungeons. BotW/TotK didn't have that unless you consider the Shrines to be mini-Dungeons all over the place. Even the Beasts in BotW or the four "Dungeons" in TotK didn't really feel like Dungeons to me save for maybe the Fire Temple in TotK. As for the 900 Koroks, yeah that's partly why I haven't gotten BotW/TotK since deep down I have this urge to 100% stuff and I just don't want to hunt those pesky things down. Even the Heart Pieces or Shrines in BotW/TotK would drive me a tad insane. Just don't bother doing Minish Cap because it has arguably one of the hardest Heart Pieces to ever get.

Yeah I have gotten all hearts/shrines in botw and totk. To your point about eow. What makes a game really Zelda to me is the feel of combat. The having echos fight for you isn’t really that. Although that didn’t have it they could have with maybe a magic system like our charaters in dnd or giving Zelda the same style as oot Zelda with a rapier and a much more, refined or elegant style.

I mentioned that in the feedback for the game in that if the Echoes consumed Echo power like her Swordfighter form did, it'd make using Echoes a far more tactical approach(you just wouldn't spam them ad nauseum) and would greatly enhance Smoothies or the food system mechanic for that game because certain ingredient combo's could refill your Echo Meter much like the Energy meter for Swordfighter form. Also, that form gave her Link's Swordfighting ability AND later on his Bow + Bombs. The Bombs really have no value because you can spawn Bomb Fishes at will but the Bow is extremely useful against Keese, Wizzrobes and against a certain Boss(Volvagia in the Eldin Temple). Plus, Zelda was never really trained for combat, hence that makes sense she doesn't technically "fight". At least she's a playable character for once, even if she's technically not the one attacking unless she's in Swordfighter form. Would have made more sense though if her primary weapon was a Bow and you eventually get Fire, Ice and Light Arrows as opposed to being a Priestess or Mage with Echoes.

Yeah, we need light bow and more. It is cool that we have a playable Zelda as the MC though.

No kidding. I made a big point about that in my feedback in that for a series with Zelda in the title that it'd be worthwhile to feature her as opposed to being the traditional damsel in distress. It's a great quest mechanism for Link but it's been done so many times that the Zelda franchise needs what Mario got in making their Princess a focal point or at least someone that can be played. Currently, excluding Echoes of Wisdom, the only games in which Zelda is controllable in any meaningful capacity is Cadence of Hyrule(indie game based off Crypt of the Necrodancer), Spirit Tracks(she's largely a spirit but inhabits Dark Nuts to help you) and all three Hyrule Warrior games. Outside of that… Zelda has basically been an NPC in the background that aids you in the final battle(Windwaker and Twilight Princess come to mind here. The rest she basically does next to nothing or is literally damsel in distress).

To keep this thread from going off the rails. What's the plan going to be for the Desert campaign? A Croagunk(Poison/Fighting) with Kricketunes(Bug) should mean plenty of super-effective fodder for our Fire Types but that doesn't mean they'll be the only obstacles. Desert implies Ground types galore so it could be quite the hostile terrain for everyone but me(unless they're Steel then I got to watch it too). As for the Bugs, they will be fully evolved so their HP is going to be higher than normal. Against the leader, I'm going to have to really watch it. I do have one spell in my arsenal I can use against it that can REALLY deal some damage to it and especially if I get lucky on the D8 roll. Yet we don't have any Antidotes to cure Poison(was partly why I was looking to see if there were Pecha Berries for just that reason or Lum that applies to everything). So lets hope we don't get the Poison status condition. Not even sure what impact status conditions will do to us or the enemy in general since my Cold/Ice attacks should have a chance to inflict Freeze or Frozen status while Tynamo has Thunder Wave for Paralysis(Fire can inflict Burn too).

@clasingla Mind giving a general idea as to what status ailments will do? I only bring it up because those Kricketunes can use Sing to put us to Sleep while Croagunk can use Poison moves and inflict Poison so knowing ahead of time would be kind of useful.
