Malamar is a Psychic type. Kommo-O is a Fighting type. I pick Malamar due to the type advantage.

Malamar is also Dark type. And I think Kommo-o is a pseudo legend

But Fighting is just effective against Malamar, because it's part Psychic as well. And Malamar has a Mega (which has stats close to a pseudo-legendary) while Kommo-o does not have any power-ups.

But, I decided to actually check their movesets and Kommo-o can learn X-Scissor, so I change my vote. Kommo-o would win. All it needs to do is use a Buginium Z with X-Scissor and it'd easily KO Mega Malamar.
