On Nintendo's official site the price is still 60 bucks.

Sword/Shield is a 6 year old game, plus this is a post talking about the switch games and is more in-depth spoilers are to be expected as you need to have played the entries to have any meaningful contribution.

Because Nintendo doesn't want the game's value to decrease, even if keeping that value is artificial. It is less about making older experiences more accessible and more of making sure they receive a return on profits in sales, that is why Nintendo Selects aren't a thing anymore.

I've always felt sorry for Kieran. I feel like a jerk with his story. First of all he was like in awe of us. Then we were his only friend. That just flat-out broke my heart. But then he decided he needed to take his shot and battle us for Ogerpon. Once he lost, there was some piece of him that just said "stronger, stronger, stronger" and that killed the sweet little kid we knew. His dream to become friends with the ogre, Ogerpon, was just crushed. So he decided he couldn't let anything like that happen again. A lot of training (and hair gel haha) later, he became BB League Champion. It almost made him forget about losing Ogerpon. Almost. Then we came back, and that wound reopened, making him snap to hostile. He was certain he was strong enough to beat him. But we went and climbed through the Elite Four and made our way to him. I personally used Ogerpon to battle him, which actually triggered him saying "SERIOUSLY?! YOU'VE GOT THE NERVE TO USE IT AGAINST ME?!" Then we won. Again. Again, his dreams got crushed.
He didn't get to be the main character.
He tried and failed to be the main character.
It hurt. A lot.1 -
All of that is true
Also, nice little detail about Ogrepon!
I didn't use it
But I understand his story and why he acts the way he does
I feel like he is one of the best written characters in Pokémon and the best in S/V
But even knowing his story I hate him
We'll just have to agree to disagree on how we feel about him

If its a newer entry that is understandable but for an older entry that is very unlikely.
