Why does Pokemon wait to release the english dub in places like Canada?
I was just about to watch Horizons but apparently it isn't out in Canada despite there not being any changes between the American and Canadian dubs
This is just upsetting since I now will do piracy

Ok it's airing in the UK as well so that just means the Pokemon Company hates we Canadians
Should we make #END/CANADISM a thing?

I now will do piracy
I maybe wouldn't say that on Pokémon's own official forum.
You might know better than I do, but I believe that there are certain rules about releasing things in French simultaneously in Canada. The English dub might have to wait for the French dub.
It is also possible that there might have to be some censorship done to the cartoon to meet Canadian broadcasting rules. I know Australia does that, but I am not sure about Canada.
Finally, there might be some licensing or legal issues delaying the release in Canada.
I wouldn't assume that Pokémon hates Canada just because the rest of the world does. ;-)

I added the emoji to try and make it clear, because I accept that jokes and sarcasm don't translate well into text, but just in case, the last line was a joke.

Oh I understood, I actually responded to it but sadly it didn't go through

I've told people to pirate multiple times on this forum (as a joke. Totally as a joke) and it's never gotten deleted or the like. I tend to put the
linething on it but I don't think that affects it. The filters here are weird.0 -
I know this is just a joke but I'm not the biggest fan of Canada, it can be very annoying sometimes to only get American media but then have to look harder because of being Canadian and there being certain restrictions. I'll probably find somewhere else to live when I'm older, maybe Europe or maybe Japan, there are so many cool places out there

And that just got immediately posted, so it doesn't seem like piracy triggers the filter.

@Hey_PIKMIN That's fine. I recognise that it may not be clear in text for everyone, so I thought I would clarify anyway. My intention was playful teasing, not to seriously insult or upset anyone. :-)
@UnovanZorua That may be okay for now, but if ever Nintendo, TPC or any company involved in the anime have a policy change or decide to enforce stricter rules, you might find yourself banned or penalised at a later date for old posts admitting to such a thing. Even more troubling because we can't delete them ourselves.
All it takes is some idiot posting links to copyrighted content for Nintendo to lawyer up and bring the banhammer down. It has happened before with Nintendo IP.
I am pointing it out for your own protection.

@Hey_PIKMIN Uhhmmm let me start of with I'm sorry. Because I have to report you to the mods for posting anime in the video game section. You'll do hard time.
