Should Gardevoir EX and Old Cemetery cause damage to my own Pokemon?

I'm using a Psychic deck, all of the pokemon are psychic. I was using Old Cemetery and Gardevoir EX. When I would use Gardevoir EX's ability it would cause Old Cemetery to damage my Pokemon.

Should this be happening?

Was it using Old Cemetery? Because Gardie's ability damages the pokemon you attach to. So was it doing forty damage for each energy you attached? Cause that's a bug. But if it was only doing two damage for each energy, then the old cemetery had nothing to do with it. The game will pick up the card and say the name if that card is having an effect.
