The team is currently investigating increased player reports related to intermittent disconnections, freezing, and general latency issues that may be impacting the gameplay experience in Pokémon TCG Live.

Hello Trainers.
The Pokémon TCG Live game client will be updated on June 17, 2025. The game will be offline starting at 8 AM PT (15:00 UTC) and is estimated to be down for 8 hours. Please see below for the list of changes:
Cards
- Fixed an issue where some Pokémon with attacks that allow you to remove two Energy from your opponent's Pokémon weren't working properly.
- Fixed an issue where Grand Tree (SCR #136) could be used to evolve cards such as Beldum (TEF #113) or Metang (TEF #114) into Steven's Metagross ex (DRI #145) erroneously.
- Fixed an issue where Yanmega ex's (DRI #206) Buzzing Boost Ability would trigger when the deck is empty.
- Fixed an issue where Team Rocket's Petrel (DRI #176, DRI #226) had incorrect text.
- Fixed an issue where TAG TEAM Supporter cards were unable to be used during the Trainer Trials Gym Leader Challenge.
- Fixed an issue where Palossand-GX (CES #082) was allowed to be added to the Gym Leader Challenge.
- Various other fixes/polish.
Competitive/Economy
- The new Ranked Ladder starts on June 26, 2025, and ends on July 17, 2025!
General
- Fixed an issue where the "Sort by Expanded" function wasn't working properly in the Deck Editor.

UPDATE: Downtime has concluded and the Pokémon TCG Live game client is back online and accessible to players.
While most issues were successfully resolved, there is a known issue in which Grand Tree (SCR #136) can still be used to evolve cards such as Beldum (TEF #113) or Metang (TEF #114) into Steven's Metagross ex (DRI #145) erroneously.
The team will continue to investigate the outstanding issue, and we will provide another update once more information becomes available.
