    I'm surprised there's no way to edit or delete comments/threads. Hopefully it will be added as soon as possible.

    Hey mods, anything yet? Some transparency would be real nice.

    Before everything in July, I'm pretty sure there used to be an edit button which did go through the approval queue and they just removed it afterwards like the poll option.

    Assuming we did have it before, why can we not have it back now? Things have quietened down since then, and if edits are subject to the same moderation and approval processes as regular posts, why does it present any more risk?

    And surely a delete button is mostly harmless. All it could do is remove potentially questionable content, not add or disguise it as edits might.

    If the admins are really worried, why not implement a timer on these functions? Make it so you can only edit a post every ten minutes, or once an hour, or once a day even?

    That would prevent most abuse attempts and the majority of people with malicious intent would probably get bored of waiting and stop, or be caught during the waiting time.

    Meanwhile legitiamate users would have a way to edit or delete posts, if a little slow.

    @TheJeffers I agree. I still don't understand why someone with malicious intent would try to change their posts at all, but at least a timer for edits should work.

    The potential is there for someone to make an innocuous post then edit it to say something offensive or promote something bad. But again, if it all goes through the same approval process, and said process is robust, it shouldn't be a problem.

    Just wondering.

    Is there's some details confirmed about the edit button?

    @CarumoTopaz

    No, but the quote button is gone now. I guess they didn't want to deal with posts automatically needing approval every time you use it.
