Dragons are one of my favourite types in Pokémon, and a popular type in general. There is no shortage of them in the games, yet I find it hard to choose one I really like.

Charizard is arguably the best depiction of a traditional western style dragon in the games, yet ironically is not even dragon type. Gyarados has a similar problem for eastern style dragons. I like Dragonair but am not too keen on Dragonite.

Salamence is kind of appealing but I find its rounded shape a little off-putting. I like Dialga and Zekrom, but are the dragon elements even a key focus of their design.

I think I like dragon Pokémon as a concept but not for their depictions in the actual games.

    At least they're not wyverns.
