The only thing I disagree with here is the amount of resistances you're taking away from Steel. It should still resist Ice/Bug imo.

But I highly agree with everything else.

You guys are only trying to change the LOGICAL ones. Fighting and Flying? Why do they interact for instance?

I think I might have taken away a lot, but steel resists over half the type chart. Plus, ice makes metal brittle.
