Do you think the type chart should be adjusted?

You realize Ice already has four weaknesses, Water resists Ice(exception being Freeze Dry) and Water is already one of the best types in the game. It dealing x2 to Ice wouldn't really change things other than to add insult to injury for a Type that needs RESISTANCE.
Like how in Arceus does Ice only resist itself after 30 years? 18 types in the game and it resists one. Excluding the Normal Type(which Defensively is better than Ice(no joke)), every other Type resists at least two Types, with Ground and the Trio of Dark/Psychic/Ghost being the lone four with just two resistances. Yet three of those four have immunity to at least one type(ICE DOES NOT).
If anything, Ice should resist Water, Flying and perhaps Normal given it's a stubborn and unforgiving Element like Rock and Steel. Does Ice melt if the Water is of similar TEMPERATURE? It melts/freezes at the same rate, hence why it's a x1. I just feel Water should be taken down a peg by having Ice resist it and it wouldn't change things competively all too much given that Water isn't used to counter Ice. It would help Pokémon like Mamoswine but that's about it.

Changing the type chart is a difficult thing. If it makes more sense, it won't be more balanced. If it's perfectly balanced, it's less fun. Maybe the current chart is good. It's chaotic and brings unpredictability to what could otherwise be a rock-paper-scissors match.

Poison should be strong over Water.
Besides the "Psychic is logic" not being accurate, it doesn't matter if Dragons "don't exist irl". (And some would say they do.) But it matters if they exist in the Pokémon world, which they clearly do.

The type chart absolutely needs some balancing, but not excessive amounts.
Steel should be weak to electric it helps an underpowered offensive type balance out a strong defensive type. It also makes logical sense as 99% of metals conduct electricity.
Poison should be supereffective against water because of water pollution, and again strengthening a weak offensive type while balancing a strong defensive type.
Steel should no longer resist ice, psychic, normal, and if you were to stretch things bug. The first two make literally no sense to be resisted by steel, and the last two are for balancing.
Grass should hit poison and flying for neutral damage. The first one is because of herbal medicine and the last is for balancing reasons.
Ice should resist water and flying to give it some defensive utility.
Rock should resist ground, and ground should resist fire. This would make sense and balance these types a little better.
Fairy should be weak to bug for no reason other than balancing.
Fighting should resist ice but lose its resistance to bug. There’s some loose logic but it’s mainly for ice balancing now it no longer is resisted by steel.
Ghost should no longer resist bug. Again another nonsensical bug resistance.
The one concern I have is flying may be a little underpowered, otherwise this would work.

That’s not what they said, other way around.

The water can wash away the poison.
