I'm on the fence but likely will not be getting it unless it blows me away roughly a year from now. I plan on getting Ocarina of Time in a month because it's justified(and I want it to win GoY a 2nd time).

Pompon is rumored to be Fire/Fairy and if it is, I will riot like you've never seen before. Would make sense that the Water Type be Water/Poison as a result because both Water and Poison are Super Effective on the Fire starter(granted it's rumored to be Water/Psychic). The Grass starter would likely be Grass/Ground or something we haven't had since Gen 4.

Of those three, I'm inclined to go Water. Granted i'd really like to know the Pokédex options first because I may go Pompon if the fire alternatives suck.

I’m not sure, I’ll probably go with Pombon or Gecqua. It will depend on what their evolutions look like. Right now it looks like this might be the first game I don’t keep my starter in my party, but I’ll keep them if I like the evolutions.
