What is your fondest memory of Pokémon?
Everyone has that one Pokémon memory that sticks with them. Maybe it was opening your very first pack of cards, choosing your first partner Pokémon, staying up to watch the anime, or finally beating a game that had you stuck for weeks. What Pokémon memory always makes you smile when you think back on it?

Back when I had no clue how the TCG game worked I remember me and some others would sit on the floor, all of our cards organized like an army
We would command attacks, pretend there were K.Os, others would barely hang on and make a comeback
Then there was a really weak Mewtwo card that we thought was all powerful because we saw Mewtwo and never read the fine print off the attack
As soon as Mewtwo came into play we pretended that our "army" would go in for an all-out attack but Mewtwo's overwhelming strength destroyed them before they could do anything and Mewtwo's army won
It was fun!
But for a most recent event is my dad is not into Pokémon
At all
But I had just gotten Champions and I was like "I can download it on my sister's Switch and me and you could play! Would you play if I did?"
Genuinely expected a no
But to my surprise he said yes!
I downloaded that game so fast, let him play the tutorial, then me and him battled
Tell me why the man that never played Pokémon before understood when to use Flame Charge for weaker hits but better Speed then Flare Blitz when ready to end me?
HE WON!!!
I was so mad and proud at the same time and immediately demanded a rematch!
My dad was rolling with laughter and accepted
HE ALMOST WON AGAIN!!!
I remember that he had my Machamp at LITERALLY 10 HP and I barely managed to pull off the win
My dad has Pokémon battling skill
If I could get him into it and educate him better I think he could be quite a powerful trainer…
But I'll just never forget the day because I was expecting him not to do it, not interested in the game but he still did it for me and it was an amazing time

My not-related-to-me cousin-who-I-met-super-recently beat me at a Pokemon battle in champions the SECOND I went easy on him! After that I went all out and won.

Mine would be my older friend telling me about the Sword and Shield starters and showing me Scorbunny. I called him Scorchbunny and loved him instantly. I didn't know what he would evolve into, but to this day I still have fond memories of Cinder dropping down and yelling on his knees.
The other would be battling that same friend for the first time. I won in every format, to nine yo me's pure delight.2 -
Probably the first time I got into Pokemon, I would say was when I was playing through my first Pokemon games for the first time on the 3DS and just enjoying them, I played through Y, Omega Ruby, and then Sun. When I got to Ultra Sun I got to some of my least fond memories of the series, the modern entries.

The first tournament I won... those were fantastic times.

Around four years ago, I got my first Pokémon game ever: Pokémon Legends Arceus.
I had absolutely no clue what a Pokémon even was, I didn't even had any cards at the time.
I opened up the game and did the tutorial, and I quickly learned that my parents accidentally got the best game to introduce me to Pokémon. I was so excited when I finished the tutorial where you catch the three pokemon, and I was running around the Obsidian Fieldlands…
until I ran into some Lv. 40 alpha Rapidash and it used an agile style Giga Impact and clobbered by Lv. 8 Cyndaquil.
Mind you, I hadn't been introduced to the Agile/Strong style mechanic yet and I had seen absolutely no trailers for this game, so when the Agile Style Giga Impact thing showed up I got scared for life and tried to run, until it used Giga Impact on ME.
and I fainted..
Anyway I got over my trauma and caught a Ponyta for some research tasks and had to fight the Munchlax lady to cross the bridge, which I beat.. eventually.
At this point, I was on my way to the Deertrack Heights camp where I fell into a pit and got ambushed by like 7 Paras' and a Lv. 30 alpha Parasect. I fainted again but eventually reached the Heights Camp, caught the Alpha Kricketune, and added it to my team (and took it off a few hours later).
I made it to the beach where you cross into the Heartwood, and had to sneak behind an alpha Bibarel that was in the way, and I just remember being completely IN LOVE with the Heartwood - the flute music, the small creeks, the Combees being.. just happy! The Psyducks chilling by the river, and the trees covering just enough sun to still see.
And I was so enchanted when I saw the big tree where Lian was at🤩
and then got chopped in half by Kleavor..
But I eventually made it to the Mirelands and that's what matters!!
However, despite the first area, what I really enjoyed were the first few minutes of unlocking a new area. The little mystical tone that sets in as you walk past the camp.. beautiful.
My most memorable experience though, has to be when I discovered the alpha Rhyperior, thinking I could catch it, realizing it was Lv 70, running, it Giga Impacting me (I was a Giga Impact magnet fsr), and being so excited to catch it!
I did eventually catch it around the time I fought Avalugg, but dang, PLA is genuinely one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had - second only to the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. That was on another level.
