PIKACHU
The gem!
Pikachu had taken that gem himself, from the wreckage of Prism Tower, and now that blue punk thinks he can just steal it!
“PIKAPIKACHUUU! (GIVE IT BACK! That’s mine, jerk!)” Pikachu yells at him. The blue Sandslash doesn’t understand, as usual. “Sorry, Pikapi (potato)! I’ll take this and see you later!” He starts crackling with electricity. Before Pikachu can ask why the blue Sandslash needs his gem so bad and why he just called him a potato in his own language, and how the Sandslash spoke Trainer-language, and… well, a lot of questions- the gem vaporizes in his hand.
“What?!” he yells. Both look up to see a massive robot. Its hand are spikes and its head looks like a bald guy with a mustache and glasses. In other words, like a dumb-dumb. The blue Sandslash sneers. “Eggman.”
“SONIC?!” The robot yells. “I don’t have time to deal with you! I’m hunting down a digital eldritch monster and I need the emeralds!”
“Hey, furball,” the blue Sandslash- apparently ‘Sonic’- says to Pikachu. “Truce? We both want that Emerald. And if he catches you, you’ll be powering a super badnik before you can say ‘pikapika’.”
Pikachu is unsure of what the things Sonic was talking about were. But that robot didn’t seem very nice. Pikachu shakes his paw with the Sandslash’s hand.
“NO TEAMING UP WHILE I’M CHARGING UP LASERS!” The robot fires a barrage of green beams at the two of them. Both dodge the lasers easily. “C’mon, Eggman, forget how fast I am?!”
“Grr… why’s that Pocky so fast, then?!”
“He’s not a Pocky!” Sonic laughs. “He’s a… um…”
“PIKACHUUU! (IMMA KICK YOUR BUTT INTO NEXT MONTH!)” Sonic nods. “Yeah, he’s a Pikachu!”
“Pika… (Not what I said…)” Pikachu ignores the Sonic’s ignorance and opts for a more powerful attack. He underestimated Sonic earlier, so he’ll make sure he sees this robot’s power right away. He leaps up into the air, lands on top of the robot, and spins his electric charged tail for a full loop, shredding through the metal.
“Of all the darned luck- there’s two of you now! At least this one doesn’t taunt my mustache the whole fight…” Eggman’s robot swings its spiked fist.
“Piiikapika! (Well, now that you mention it, it does look like a pair of hairy carrots…)” Pikachu swings his tail up into the robot’s face, splitting the metal in half. Inside is a fat man with a mustache. He swears.
“You’ll regret that!” Eggman starts pounding away at controls, cocking missiles all over. “FIRE IN THE HOLE!”
Smoke puffs out of all the holes. “Wha-?! SONIC!”
Sonic tosses the Emerald in a hand, standing behind Eggman. “I think I might’ve smashed some important gizmos in there on my way to grab this. Anyway, sayonara, Egghead!” He drills his spin attack into the bot, sending Eggman in a small, semicircle robot flying from the blast of the explosion. Sonic goes to pocket the Emerald and finds it gone.
Pikachu inches away, holding the green gem in his mouth again. Sonic kneels down to his height. “Look, I need that Emerald, buddy! That’s my way back home!”
Pikachu scoots back more.
“If you’re away from home too, what I can do with those Emeralds can send you home too!”
“…”
Sonic reaches a hand toward Pikachu. “Teammates?”
Pikachu sniffs his fingers. Then he headbutts his hand lightly. “Pikapii. (Deal.)”

CUPHEAD
READY?
WALLOP!
Cuphead fires a barrage of blasts at The Devil’s head. “Hey, big and hairy!”
“ANOTHER?!”
Cuphead lands in front of the self-proclaimed ‘squid’ and fox. “What’s the big idea, huh?! She don’t wanna catch the fox, she don’t gotta catch the fox! Don’t make me fight you!”
“Cuphead! You’re supposed to be gathering the soul contracts!”
“I’m working on it, I’m working on it, geez. Now back away from this lil’ lady before I pump ya full of… whatever it is that comes out of my finger!”
The squid girl pokes past him. “Who’re you?! Also, why does everyone keep calling me ‘little lady’?”
Cuphead cocks his head and his hand. “Are you a guy? That’d be weird, because you sure look like a girl.”
“I’M A FEMALE SQUID! WHY IS THIS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND!”
The Devil growls. “A squid, a cup, and a fox… I don’t believe I’ve ever seen such a ridiculous crew. Ah, well. I’ll drag you all into Inkwell Hell!”
Music starts playing. The squid looks around as the Devil clears his throat. “Don’t tell me he’s gonna-”
Welcome to my casino, lads, are you down for a deal tonight?” The Devil sings along to the music. Cuphead shrugs. “Well, this is new.” A poker table hits him in the gut.
Let’s see if the luck is in your hands, if you’re ready, come on and roll the dice!” A pair of dice roll about on the table, revealing two ones. “Oh, snake eyes! Beg on your knees, you can’t flee, bring your contracts to me!” The two dice burst into the form of The Devil, who snags the fox. The brave little critter bites him right on the nose, and leaps back as he rubs his nose. The whole casino shifts, ready for the rest of the song.
Pay with the souls or you’ll pay with your head!” Stuffed dolls of each of the three drop in the way of their escape. “Try to escape me and you’ll end up DEAD!” The Devil severs each of the stuffed heads, sending the three fleeing in another direction.
You can’t complain now, ‘cause that’s what you get,” The Devil laughs, blocking Cuphead’s finger guns. “That’s what you get.
The casino explodes into a world of gold and starts to spin, forming into a hamster wheel of golden coins, cash, and so on. The Devil spins the wheel. “That’s what you get for being GREEDY!” The three run, tripping on coins and gold bars. “So GREEDY!” The fox notices a bandana fluttering in the air. She leaps for it, but the Devil slaps her into a pile of dollar bills. “That’s what you get for being greedy,” he cackles as the squid-girl digs the fox out. “Oh, that’s what you GET!
The casino molds into a hallway, and a giant version of the Devil chases after them. The music shifts slightly.
Nowhere to run, nowhere to go, hurry up, I’ve got a bet to win.” Playing cards slice through the air, and Cuphead ducks as one slices off a bit of his straw. “The time is ticking, you move too slow, pay off the debt to save your skin!” Cuphead swallows and fires another barrage of energy bullets at The Devil’s eyes.
Fight one-on-one,
Run n’ gun,
Long as you get it DONE!” The Devil swipes the trio up in a wave of cash.
“I’m getting real sick of this song,” Cuphead grumbles, and suddenly scoops the ‘female squid’ into his arms, dramatic hero style. “Let’s beat it, squiddy!”
You went for broke, and oh no, now you’re croaked.” Cuphead winces as he jumps off the walls.
Grave situations you can’t sugarcoat.” Three tombstones with the faces of the squid, Cuphead, and the fox with X eyes.
If you break my contract, then I’ll break your leg!” A flying dice smashes into Cuphead’s legs. He drops the squid-girl, crying out in pain. “That’s what you get…
That’s what you get for being GREEDY!” Gold bursts from the ground in geysers. Some splatters on the fox’s legs, freezing her in place. The squid blasts her out.
So GREEDY!” The Devil fires a triple blast from his trident, and Cuphead’s head leaps from his body to dodge. “Oh, that’s what you get for being greedy!
Dice pop up from under their feet, making them balance on them as they roll. “Yeah, so GREEDY! Oh, that’s what you GET!
The Devil babbles along to the beat of his song. Cuphead leaps off and onto his bad leg. “Yowch! I might need some help here, as much as I hate to admit it…” The squid tosses him onto her back. “Oh, hey, thanks, squiddy!” “My name’s Braid.” “And I’m-” “Cuphead, I know.” “Wow, good guess!”
One two three you’d better not flee,
Eins zwei drei go ahead and cry!” Massive teardrops fall from the ceiling. Braid weaves, yelping, “Water!”
Beware, honey, you better be.” A massive axe just barely slices off some of her tentacles. “And if you die then don’t ask WHY!
One two three you’d better not flee, eins zwei drei go ahead and cry!!!
Don’t you forGET, cause that’s what you GET.” Cuphead zips out a hand and snags the fox away from a tsunami of liquid gold.
That’s what you GET for being GREEDY!” The ground bursts from under them at the chorus again. “So GREEDY! Oh, that’s what you GET!
The Devil babbles along to his song again. The fox cries out, “Voi!” and points her ears toward the two casino doors. Cuphead says, “The gold’s gonna smash right through that baby! Ride the wave! Woo!”
Oh that’s what you get for being-
GREEDY!” Cuphead barely dodges a flying golden spike.
GREEDY!” Braid jumps over a buzzsaw.
GREEDY!” The fox leaps for the bandana again but is blocked by a golden wall.
GREEDY!” The wave surges forward faster.
Oh, so greedy! Greedy!” The gold coins smash through the casino door. Cuphead whoops, until he sees the gold is flowing down a waterfall.
Oh, that’s what you GET!

KIRBY
Kirby spits out the little green man. He wails loudly, screaming, “MAMAAAAAAAAAA!” Kirby adjusts his new green hat. Very snazzy. He wears it better than the crying, screaming green man. Kirby pokes the crying, screaming green man. He screams louder.
Kirby is shocked! How could this be?! A green man screaming in his presence?! Wearing his snazzy hat no less?!
The solution was obvious.
Mostly because this was the solution to most problems.
Cake, of course!
Kirby reaches into his extradimensional space where he keeps all his doodads and cakes and sometimes juice boxes and rummages about. In a moment he realizes-
there is no cake.
Kirby decides to join the green man lying on the floor crying and screaming. This is a tragedy. He could compare it to the time a big thing took over his planet and started wiping out basically all of nature. It is truly a worthy reason to lie on the floor crying and screaming in agony. Perhaps the green man has lost his cake as well. Perhaps Kirby was too quick to judge the green man. They might be the same.
“Luigi?! Now what the heck are you doing here?” a voice that suggests minimal IQ booms. The green man gets up. “Wario? Did you-a get eaten too?” Then Luigi notices Kirby standing next to him. “Poyo!”
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-”
Kirby watches as a fat man walks out from the dark, standing atop the stairs. He wears yellow, has a mustache that looked like he stuck lightning bolts to his nose and painted them black (which might explain why his nose is so profoundly big and ugly), and his overalls look like a purple menace. “Luigi! What’re you doing here? This is WARIO’S Castle!”
“Wah? We-a live in the Castle together, Wario? Don’t you-a remember the time we were all locked in those scary rooms and you started swearing and trying to-a kick the door down?”
The fat man itches his butt. “…no. Anyway, as the brother of WARIO’s sworn enemy… I’mma gonna run you over!” He starts laughing in a TERRIBLE fashion. Kirby would cover his ears if knew where they were and could actually reach them.
The green man screams. The fat man pulls a motorbike out of nowhere. “Bye bye, Weegee!” The fat man zips forward, cackling and coughing and making lots of noise. “WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA-WHA-?!”
The fat man plummets into Kirby’s expanded mouth. Kirby swallows. Ew, nasty. He turns to face the green man he just saved from the fat man. “Poyo!” The green man stares in horror. Kirby takes one look at his new yellow hat and throws it away.He doesn’t wanna wear anything that fat man wore. Then he might get fat! He pokes himself just to check he isn’t. Thankfully not.
The green man runs. Kirby runs after him. “Poyo!”

COSMO
Cosmo calls out again. “Hello?” Flowers are blooming in her step, all over Dark Oak. She peeks through a hole in the bark. “Who’s there?”
Outside is the strangest sight she’s ever seen.
A giant flower is outside, fighting off bugs with orange bubbles all over them, using vines as weapons. She’s pretty certain one is holding a knife. It looks tired, and the strange bugs are getting closer every second. She clutches the Chaos Emerald in her hands tighter. Suddenly the flower fights harder. She keeps trying, letting her heartbeat align with the Emerald’s power, until not even one of those bugs are left. The flower, like he’s impervious to pain, rips off a petal that had been covered in the orange stuff the bugs had left behind. Then he whips around. “Who’re you?”
Cosmo freezes and dips her head down, just barely peeking out of the hole. What if the flower was hostile to her too? All she wants is a friend.
The flower speaks again, and his vines recoil into the ground. “Look, I’m not gonna hurt ya, if that’s what you’re worried about. I’m Flowey. Flowey the flower.”
Cosmo slowly climbs out from her hiding place. “I-I’m Cosmo.”
Flowey smiles. “Howdy! I assume you’re not a human, or from around here.”
Cosmo shakes her head. “I’m a Seedrian. From Greengate.”
Flowey pauses. “…okay?”
Cosmo shakes her head frantically. “Don’t feel bad if you don’t know it! No one knows my home, and it’s not even there anymore…”
The flower rests his head on a vine. “Alright. I would think we’re from further apart than I thought.”
“I’ve never been here before…” Cosmo opens her mouth, then closes it. She decides to ask anyway. “Am I dead?”
“…what?”
“I got shot by a giant laser by my best friend (maybe my boyfriend?) so that we could destroy this big threat to the galaxy called Dark Oak…”
“I’m sorry, I didn’t understa-” Flowey’s petal bends under Cosmo’s finger. “What’re you doing?”
“I’m trying to see if you’re real.”
“Do you really have to-” Boop. “You satisfied ye-” Boop. “… … …are you done?”
Cosmo lifts her finger away. “I think you’re real.”
“Nice guess,” Flowey deadpans.
“Are you a dandelion?”
“Uh, no.”
“Sunflower?”
“No.”
Camellia nitidissima?”
“…what?”
“Buttercup?”
I am not a buttercup!” Flowey hisses. His face contorts into an evil looking face with a V-shaped mouth and hollow, angry eyes. He quickly reverts back. “Sorry. I’m, uh, not a buttercup. I’m a golden flower. And if those don’t exist in your world… I guess that’s more evidence we’re from entirely different places.”
“I suppose we must be…” she looks at the flower’s torn petals and vines. “Do you need some help with that?”
“Oh, I’ll be fi-”
Cosmo never cared what his answer was going to be. She holds out her hand and Flowey rejuvenates like all the other plant life in her path. Flowey’s eyes widen, like he’s never felt healing. “Ah. Thank you. Now, as I was saying before we got off track, I have some experience with alternate worlds, but never one so… drastically different. They always run on the same rules. The timeline can split and SAVEs can corrupt or even be hacked into, and it can change depending on what people have done in the past. And some worlds are different entirely, with something having been different in the far past. But there has never been one to contain creatures without a SOUL, and without any form of DETERMINATION that is like what is in-”
Cosmo was fiddling with a flower, but she looks up when Flowey cuts off. “What were you saying?”
Flowey sighs. “You have no experience with alternate worlds. The point is you are drastically different from anything in my world and break half its rules. As… strange as those rules can be.”
“You’re not too different from things in my world. I’m a talking plant. I just look less like a typical flower.”
“You’re a plant.”
“Yes.”
“…alright, let’s focus on something else. We’re not about to understand each other’s worlds, so how about we think about survival. Do you eat?”
“Yes.”
“Do you have food on hand?”
“No.”
“Can you take care of yourself?”
“…maybe?” Cosmo isn’t quite sure. She’d relied on Sonic, Amy, Knuckles, Chris, and of course Tails to protect her before. Then she shakes her head. No, she’d become strong for them. She had to be strong enough to find a way to her home. “I mean yes! Yes, I can.”
“Good. You look for food and supplies. I’ll-” Flowey stops. “Wait, do you… have something?”
“Oh, ah…” Cosmo pulls out the Chaos Emerald. “I lost the other six, but I kept this one. It’s a Chaos Emerald.”
“Does it have the ability to warp time and space?”
“I suppose.”
Flowey reaches out a vine. “If you don’t mind, I’d like to mess with that. I’m no stranger to time manipulation.”
Cosmo clutches the Emerald tighter. “Promise me.”
“I promise I’m not going to destroy the timeline with it, yes.”
“No, promise me you’ll be careful with it. It’s a very dangerous gem. I don’t want you to get hurt.”
Flowey pauses. Then he bobs his head to both sides. “I promise I’ll be fine.”
“I said promise you’ll be careful.”
“Alright, fine, I promise to be cautious!” Flowey’s vine stretches out further. “May I have it now?”
Cosmo places the gem in her new friend’s grasp.

FRISK
Frisk spins in circles as she falls. She faceplants into a pile of leaves. Picking herself up and brushing off, she takes a look around. Oh, it’s the ruins puzzle from before. She’s done this at least fifty times before. She memorizes the locations of the leaves, then climbs the stairs back up to the surface, squeezing out the top slot.
Behind her, she suddenly hears, “Frisky! Now how the fuuu…rick did you get over there?!” Frisk turns and sees the cat-woman and imp from before. She briefly wonders why they are following her before continuing down the path. A turn, here, a turn there, and she reaches the other side, just in time to hear crumbling. Frisk watches the cat woman fall into the leaves before thrusting her face from them and uttering every swear Frisk ever heard at the imp floating above.
Frisk walks off ahead, leaving the cursing cat lady and imp behind, looking to find her way to Snowdin, knowing what comes after the Ruins. Perhaps Sans will not try to get her with the whoopee cushion in the hand joke this time. It can only be funny so many times. After number thirty, she’d grown quite tired of the gag.
She suddenly notices in her thinking she’d come across the exit. Interesting Toriel isn’t blocking the way this time. She was wondering whether she’d spare the motherly figure or not this time.
The cat lady jumps in the way of Frisk progressing. “Frisky, would you just tell us where you’re trying to go?”
Frisk is annoyed. She decides she does not feel like going to the effort of sparing this new monster and draws her knife. The cat lady’s eyes widen. “Oi! I’m not trying to start a fight here!”
Frisk points her knife, waiting for the strike time to be just right. The cat lady keeps protesting, “You want to keep going, I’m not stopping you! Just say so, you weirdo!”
Oh, how nice. No nuisance. Frisk puts away her knife and toddles through the exit. She trips over a rock and lands flat on her face. She starts to pick herself up when gloved hands scoop her up and place her on the cat lady’s shoulder. “How about I carry you, eh? And it looks cold out there. Here…” A scarf wraps around Frisk’s entire upper body. “Howzzat?”
Frisk does not respond but pushes the scarf up to cover her nose. She would rather not catch cold.

SONIC.EXE
Sonic.exe vanishes in a flutter.
The child swings the knife.
.exe cackles. “I mAkE mY rUlEs!” His bloody hand grabs the child’s neck, and he throws her into the ground. She falls into the spikes without a word.
“I aLwAyS wIn.”
Everything RESETs.
Î’VĘ ÐONË ŤHIŞ BEFORĖ
EVERY SECRET HUNTED DOWN
WHY
AM
I
STILL
HERE
The skeletal head rises over the horizon. The words echo. The fleshless skull of some animal, ruling over the world .exe and this child find themselves in. Laughing at his power to trap them in repeated loops of doing the same thing over and over and over-
CRACK.
Fractures ripples through the skull. Sonic.exe grabs hold of the nose holes and rips the skeletal animal head in two. As it breaks, the world breaks in two, right underneath the yellow and green shirted child with the red eyes and infinite smile. She plummets, smiling all the way, even as she can feel the void.
.exe rips her string out of her SOUL. He fiddles with the red line. He pulls another from the skull, and entwines them.
CHOMP.

Wow, this is long! I would recommend, if you can, listening to the Cuphead fan song called ‘Greedy’, as that’s where the lyrics are from for that chapter. Credit to the creator, OR3O.

    …I don’t know?
I just took the original creepy pasta story and edited it slightly. By the way he’s actually the main antagonist, way more than ‘mentioned’!
Basically every single one of these characters worlds exists on a sort of ‘plane’ or dimension, and it also branches throughout time (for example Wario in this chapter is from his first appearance when he was a bad guy, whereas Luigi is from Super Mario 64, when Wario was a antihero.) Anyway, Sonic.exe’s world exists in a digital field, which is how Dr. Eggman accessed it (and how the person in the original story did too). So Sonic.exe, then, in is incredible power, started breaking the fourth wall and looking out into worlds outside his own, and after having k1lled Tails, Knuckles, and Eggman in his world, he managed to get the person playing the game. Every kill makes him stronger, thanks to those strings he pulled out of Chara and the skull from that Super Mario 64 horror game. Those will be dealt with later, but if you couldn’t take a hint by the fact that the name of the story is ‘Loose Threads’ and the chapter is titled ‘Making Ties’, string is an important thing.
