Forum page navigation issues

As most of you know, navigating through forum pages is bugged and the workaround is slow and annoying... it's also a bad look for new members, which hurts the community.

At the very least, it would be nice to have an official acknowledgment that management is aware of this or working on fixing it... I mean, this issue has been around for a while now... simple feedback doesn't hurt.

The issue seems to be that clicking page 1 completely removes the #latest or /p(number) part of the link instead of changing it to /p1 like it should. This issue does not exist with other page buttons.

For example, clicking on this discussion from Recent Discussions brings me to https://community.pokemon.com/en-us/discussion/25053/forum-page-navigation-issues#latest . If it got enough comments for the #latest part to lead to a second/third/any number page, and I pressed the first page button, it would simply remove the #latest and lead to https://community.pokemon.com/en-us/discussion/25053/forum-page-navigation-issues, which works the same as having #latest in the link and brings you to the last page. The solution would be making it end the link in /p1 or making the version it currently leads to bring you to the first page and not the latest one.
