That question reminds me of the last time we had a mouse. We have a pantry that has a sliding door and when we slide it open, the door slides into the wall. Well the mouse thought it'd be shrewd to crawl underneath the sliding door in the wall. Little did it know that there is no way out of there except the way it went in so I basically trapped it with a glass container. I then set a trap before removing said container and patiently waited. Took about 45 minutes but then I hear a snap and down goes Jerry.
Moral of story is mice go where they think they're safe. Cat cornered it and came away the victor.
