My advice, @DoubleCure ? Play quicks, casuals and solos to get used to things again. If you jump straight into solo queued ranked, you may encounter .... Hmmmm .... How to say this politely..... not so good "team"mates, awesome teammates, or you may actually do great regardless of the teams. I guess it depends on if the stadiums have changed since you last played. Kyogre is the current ranked stadium and many trainers throw up a surrender vote if kyogre is lost due to the buffs received after defeating kyogre. However, you can still win it. Oh no .. I'm starting to ramble 😬.
Basically you are more likely to go against real trainers in almost all modes around the daily reset time. (I try to play a few rounds then as well as later in the evening). Hmmm then again, with so new licenses being handed out to trainers over the past week, many people are just getting used to or learning their newly unlocked pokemon.
