Rumor: Pokémon the Series is coming to Disney Channel and Disney+ this August
Hello! This is my first post here on Pokémon Forums and on this post, I've been hearing rumors that Pokémon the Series (the Ash Ketchum era, not the currently ongoing Horizons era) will be coming to Disney Channel and streaming on Disney+ this August and they're going to start airing the first season on Disney Channel. What do you guys think?

I don't believe that rumor, but at the same time I wouldn't be surprised... Disney wants to get their hands on everything they possibly can.
And welcome.

Second: Really that's awesome, Pokémon deserves it :)2 -
I mean I have Disney Plus, not by choice as I think streaming services are a scam. It seems alright, definitely a decent opportunity for new fans to watch the classic show.

First 52 Episodes(not including the banned Porygon and Safari Zone ones) are on Netflix along with XY(all 3 seasons) and Journeys(all 3 seasons). Horizons is on there too and the latest batch of Season 3 Episodes are coming out next week.
As for Disney+, looks like it's just Alolan region along with select movies. Might be changing in a few months though. There's also YouTube channel that has all Episodes of Season 1 to Season 9(episode 23). Meaning it's nearly done with Gen 3 and Battle Frontier before it hits Gen 4. Might be awhile before it uploads those Episodes, Ditto Gen 5 and onward but eventually everything will be on there for free.

Hello and welcome, @JMR62397 !
I'm ok or indifferent I guess if Pokemon anime is also available on other paid for streaming services as long as we can continue to watch or have access to the animes on free services too like The Pokemon YouTube channel.
I don't have Disney+ or what not since I am on a tight budget and would be extremely disappointed if they move entirely to a paid service. All these subscriptions add up and I have to pick and choose carefully where my limited disposable income (the funds available beyond my fixed and variable expenses) goes towards. (No, I also do not have cable, broadband, or satellite... I actually use only an antenna for local channels believe it or not. Saves me over 70 a month by only making a one-time antenna purchase and I still get lots of news and movies in foreign languages for free… ugh, why can't they put English closed captions when the English channels do have other languages for those closed captions? Drives me nuts.)
Hopefully, it will remain "free" for the rest of us (with only the cost of electricity and internet/wifi). 🤞😬
