Friends are pretty pointless on forums without a DM feature that I do not think is appropriate on a family friendly forum, they lead to cliques and favouritism, and I could easily see arguments stemming from someone refusing to add someone as a friend, or even adding the wrong person as a friend.

Besides, this forum is small enough that you can easily find and get in touch with specific members anyway.
