Ummm, there is a way to see before sharing which cards are still needed by the intended recipient. (Wow, I'm using big words now, lol, that cocoa must have worked, thanks!)
I'm not sure if you are familiar with this system since it is pretty new, but you can view if they have any of their unregistered cards for a specific pack by:
- First select the person (intended recipient of the share)
It will take you to a screen that near the upper portion has a name of a booster pack and a selectable button.
The cards directly below it should show all the cards you have that align with the cards they do not have registered. UNLESS the following wording appears:
- "Card dex has no unregistered cards" or
- "You do not own any of their unregistered cards".
Those comments are specific to the named/selected booster/expansion pack near the top of the screen.
Regardless of which booster pack is shown, you will probably still see a "Cards You Can Share" with cards below the wording. Those are not specific to a pack nor do they take into account what the person already owns. All it is for is to show you which ones that you have that are sharable (I think).
So, if you are wondering if the intended recipient has the card you would like to share, the best idea is to select the button below the booster pack name called
- View Other Booster Packs
Then it will bring you to a screen with the newer B series booster packs. This includes the:
- Mega Rising
- Crimson Blaze
- Fantastical Parade
- Paldean Wonders
- Mega Shine (new)
Cool thing is you can see how many cards the other person has registered for each booster dex, excluding the one stars, two stars 3 stars, shinies and crown cards. If you select a specific booster pack, then the previous screen with the actual cards and appropriate messages will be shown. Those messages are specific to the selected themed booster pack. This makes it much easier to see which cards have not been registered but you can't tell if they still have the card so it is possible that wishlisted cards may be ones they already have registered but shared or traded away and now they would like another one (for whatever reason).
Oh, and too view the older A Series themed booster card pack dexes, be sure to change, by selecting, the drop down button that has an icon of a pack opening and says "B Series" or "A Series" (depends which one you are currently in).

This is what many of us are asking for to have available when we trade cards as well as shares. Makes it easier when we know if it's a registered card they need or not.

Yep, you can only receive one share per day.
Today I opened a pack and got a Mega Scizor EX and just HAD to share it with team leader! That's one of her favorite all-rounders in Unite (well, that, and Blaziken and Gyarados and Mega Charizard X)
