Homare's Point of View

I slowly come to my conscious in a pitch black room. It's so dark that I can't even see an inch in front of me. I don't know where I am or how I got here. The last thing I remember is getting grabbed by trees while looking for Evan.

"Hey, Lance," I shout into the darkness. I go to stand up but get restricted by something being wrapping tightly around my wrists and ankles. "Lance this isn't funny!"

"Your friend has nothing to do with this," a voice says from somewhere. "In fact, he's chained up, too, just somewhere else."

"And where's that," I demand.

"Doesn't matter," they respond with an unnervingly calm tone. "You won't be going there. Now tell me why you're here."

"I'd like to know the same thing," I snap back. "One minute I was looking for a kidnapped child when suddenly trees attacked me and I wake up here."

"I know that," the mystery Pokémon tells me with a sigh. "I guess I phrased that wrong. I meant why were you in the area. Your friend, Lance you called him, said y'all are visiting Forest Village. For what?"

"I don't have to explain myself to you," I growl. Suddenly, my bindings tighten, causing me to scream in agony.

"But you do," the voice tells me, still annoyingly calm.

"You're lucky I can't put my arms together," I state. "I would Armor Cannon you all the way to Pluto if I could!"

"But you can't, so you might as well co-operate," they reason.

"If I do," I say slowly, "will you release me and Lance?"

"Possibly," my captor answers. It's my best hope at getting us out, so I guess I have to.

"Alright, fine," I grumble with a sigh. "You want to know why we're in the village? The Queen has sent us on a mission to stop a Charizard that's been burning towns down. We stopped in the area to sleep but have been using the place to earn money and train. We were actually going to be leaving in a few days."

Silence. That's kind of worrisome since I can't see what they're doing. "And do you agree with the things the village does," the voice finally inquires.

"What do they do," I ask, having no idea what they're talking about.

"You stayed in the Never Leaf Hotel, correct? It's the only place that you can sleep at. You should know since you've been there," the other Pokémon tells me. When I still don't know what he's talking about, he groans and explains. "They invade my forest and take the resources! They build things like the fancy hotel and sell the materials made from the trees. It's ridiculous! And they are slowly expanding the village, taking away more of my precious land that I swore to protect!"

"I… Didn't realize all of that," I reply. "Look, if you let me and Lance go, we'll leave without ever harming your sacred trees and leave Forest Village immediately. I promise!"

"You promise," the mysterious kidnapper repeats. "Just like that Wigglytuff promised not to invade my home? PROMISES MEAN NOTHING!"

Suddenly, my captor gets right up into my face and I finally see what they are. It's hard to see in the dark, but the glowing red eye gives me enough light to see that this is a Shiny Trevanaught. Shinies are incredibly rare, so I'm briefly over taken by surprise at the sight of this. If I had a mouth my jaw would be dropped.

"W-Well, the Wigglytuff's didn't, yes, but my promise means everything," I say once I fianlly get over my shock. "I'm an Armarouge, and a little known fact is that us Armarouges are known for their honor. I'd never break my word."

Trevanaght looks me up and down then rolls their eyes with a scoff. "Whatever, buddy," they state sarcastically. "That's just a stereotype. You could easily be the complete opposite of that."

I'm about to beg more for my freedom, but Lance suddenly come bursting through a door into the room. Light from the hallway shines behind him, giving him a mystical, angelic appearance. "Release me and my friend," Lance demands, "or face the consequences!"

Okay, look, I know this is short but I really like where this is at!

I also said I was going to make this chapter like the last one where it was only one person and doesn't switch

Next part will be back to both of them like usual

I did not expect this fluff to become what it has!
