If you're spending money on PTCGL you're doing something wrong. Any codes I've used for the game have been from packs I bought because I wanted the cards IRL. Never have I bought anything to get code cards for Live. You don't need to spend any money on real cards to get anything in this game, and many people that play Live don't own any physical cards. What you said makes no sense.

I've had some things happen that have made me start to think the shuffle algorithm is flawed as well… If I have only 2 copies of a card in my deck, both copies appear in my opening hand enough times to be noticeable. Boss's Orders in particular, both copies being in my opening hand 5 games in a row during one session. But it also seems to sometimes get hard stuck on a specific pokemon and begin to give me that pokemon along with at least one set cards that I only have 2 copies of, and no energy. Last time it was Bulbasaur. I pulled Bulbasaur in a hand like I just described 4 times in a row the other night… I tried to save a video of it but I didn't have it set to background record for long enough so only have 3 on the video… I feel like a fool complaining, but it happens so often and with the same cards that I can't ignore it.

No I've had this happen too

    It's actually happening again

I've noticed that the game gives me a good run with a deck for a day or two before starting a repetitive cycle of the same opening hand of pretty useless cards

Then they either give me everything I need except one or two things but my opponent have everything or just give me nothing while my opponent gets everything

    Sigh

I've just learned to expect it

This is something i have been saying for so long! Constantly get dealt boss's orders an night stretcher or energy retrievals. Feels like the more copies i have of a certain card in my deck, im less likely to pull in match. I tried to add psyduck, just 1! For support in case i face dragopult. But then kept getting it dealt to me as my only pokemon over an over again. Made me remove it.

And you can also notice the terrible rng rotations when opening packs. I can open some packs an keep getting the same cards over an over! Sometimes the same card 3 times in same pack. Put i notice ill pull certain handful of pokemon in every pack i open. Then next day it will switch an be a different group in every pack. Then next day ill have great luck an pull rare cards an foils. Then it will switch back. Feel like its the same way playing matches.

At this point everyone should already know the shuffle algorithm is rigged… in a bad way. I'm being serious.

typical TCGLiVe situations if noticed on both ends since about 8 months already. Keep in mind I play roughly 20-30 games on average a day.

    1. 40 card deck lock- you won’t get anything to start moving for two to theee turns. Your opponent already by turn two or three has 70 percent of their deck burned or on board.
    2. Mulligan and mulligan- both ether you or opponent get no bench or any supports even when the deck is burned down to less than 30 cards. You may get a boss order or something that doesn’t revolve around shuffling or drawing cards.
    3. You or your Opponent conceeds due to the same issues during start up.
    4. Ether Meowth Ex or any card with high retreat cost is your basic to start with.
    5. Cards that would counter the deck you play some how are always in the prize cards.
    6. Shuffle cards like Lillie/ Judge, etc only provide the same or multiples of the same cards when drawing the new hand.
    7. Ether you get no energies for more than 3-5 turns or you get as your starting draw for three or so turns.

This is a regular thing that occurs with this app and iv record 1 full day, and some half days of match after match as evidence to show this is the case.

it’s ether the game is rigged to were it’s 50/50 win lose rate. Or the coding isn’t up to standards for this app. I don’t experience any of this irl. My whole TCG career iv had maybe two to three mulligans irl. TCG live it’s every single day. At least 75 percent of games.

Yall can be delusional and say it’s confirmation bias or skill issues, etc. but when this is happening to peeps that are using regional winning decks and top tier meta decks all that doesn’t apply.

Currently since Pult is the new Gardi it’s getting the same treatment with always having what it needs. Tell me the rate this is happening irl because I don’t see it. Yes Pult is winning regionals but how wouldn’t it if over 70 percent of people are using it?
After my experience since the app dropped iv considered to now just play irl to test my decks.

I agree with all that you said there. I play alot of matches when i play. And big reason is so many matches are forfeited. Constant mulligans. And i have 1 fez for support, but somehow thats my starting pokemon. No bench, nothing to help me get something on my bench. Taking 3 to 5 mulligans at times is ridiculous. And i have built decks with all basic pokemon! An still take mulligans.

But i do notice the pre built decks that they give to everyone to promote, they seem to always work perfect! Players always seem to get the cards they need right away. Mega lucario is one. See them pull off almost impossible wins becuz every card they need seems to fall into their hand.

I think the new build an battle mode could be fun. But it just gets completely ruined by this terrible rng.

have they ever allowed larger decks before? Just for fun? That would change some strategies so much.
