Should we do Pokémon D&D?

I'll try and do a generic synopsis of each stat then… In general, the higher the stat is, the better your character is in that particular stat. The value you have will yield what is known as an Ability Modifier that is added to or subtracted from dice rolls for various actions in a D&D game. For example, if you have 16 in a particular stat, you'd get a +3 modifier. That means if you roll a 14 on a D20, your result would be 17. Conversely if you have 8 in particular stat, you'd have an Ability modifier of -1, hence that same roll would result in 13. A stat of 10 or 11 is considered average so you get no bonus/penalty. Every 2 points above that results in a +1 bonus while every 2 points below that results in a -1 penalty. Meaning if you roll a perfect 18, you'd get a +4 modifier in that particular stat while 16-17 is +3, 14-15 is +2, and so on.
Strength measures raw physical power. It's important when it comes to utilizing Athletic skills, lifting/pushing objects and carrying out melee attacks.
Dexterity measures Agility, Reflexes and Balance. If Strength is about melee damage, then Dexterity is for ranged attacks. It's also incredibly important for Acrobatics, Sleight of Hand and Stealth skill rolls, which for a Ranger or Rogue is rather important since you have a Bow as a Ranger and Rogue does Stealth. Also impacts Armor Class and Initiative rolls(no idea what that means but figured I'd mention it).
Constitution measures Vitality or HP and Stamina. Basically, if you want to survive, you'll want to have a strong Constitution. Important for all classes and in particular note for Spellcasters to maintain concentration when taking damage.
Intelligence is basically how smart you are and is incredibly important for Arcana, History, Investigation, Nature and Religion Skills and impacts the spellcasting ability of Wizards and Artificers.
Wisdom is basically perception and intuition or how aware you are of the world around you. Is important for Animal Handling, Insight, Medicine, Perception and Survival Skills(you just picked Animal Handling, Insight and Survival as a Ranger) and impacts Spellcasting ability of Druids, Clerics and Rangers(hence why I advocate for 16 into Wisdom!!)
Charisma measures how well you interact with others. It's important for Deception, Intimidation, Performance and Persuasion Skills and impacts the spellcasting ability of Bards, Paladins, Warlocks and Sorcerers(aka me, hence why I have 16 here).
So for Rangers, Dexterity and Wisdom are quite important, followed by Strength/Constitution and the last two in Intelligence/Charisma get your remaining stat rolls. For Rogues, Dexterity must be your best stat given it impacts not just Ranged Damage but your Stealth. For you Monks, if you opt for Athletics skill, you might want some decent Strength, else Dexterity is probably your best bet.
