What he's asking you to do is to roll for your character's stats in Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma. To do so you roll a 6-sided die(aka 1D6) 4 times, then drop the lowest roll and add the rest to get an overall value. The most you can possibly get is 18 while the lowest possible is 3. Generally speaking, the higher the roll, the better your character will be but in a Fighter's case, you'll want to prioritize Strength/Dexterity and Constitution.

He'll then ask you to make additional choices on Background origin, Skills and a few other things(like languages you speak) to round out your character. I don't know what they'll be but thankfully I'm not DM. Look at my character sheet to get a general idea of what you'll have to do.

okay so next choose three skills from

Animal handling, athletics, investigation, insight, nature, perception, stealth and survival

you also get to choose between a) scale mail or b) leather armor

you also get to choose between a) two shortswords or b) two simple melee weapons

you also get a) a dungeoneer's pack or b) explorers pack

you also get a longbow and a quiver of 20 arrows

also choose a terrain for natural explorer your options are artic, coast, desert, forest, grassland, mountain, swamp, or underdark

i know I'm asking a lot right now just think the earlier i do this the better to have your character ready

also choose a favorite enemy type from aberrations, beasts, celestials, constructs, dragons, elementals, fey, fiend, oozes, plants, or undead

i lowkey might just change the enemy types (same thing with @Lonestar85 protection from evil and good spell) to the different egg group of Pokémon mainly to buff it since normal monsters won't be in this campaign
