@Voltareon2012 read what I put in your profile before reading this. Sorry.

Third Person P.O.V

Jo taps his foot on the ground impatiently, glaring at John as the man continues to take his time. Jo grumbles as he pushes some of his red hair out of his eyes, immediately crossing his arms again, tapping his foot faster. John's eye twitches with annoyance. He takes his eyes away from the cave wall and looks at Jo.

"Do you need something," John snaps, standing up and tightening his grip on the hammer and chisel in his hands. Jo nods aggressively.

"Yeah! I need you to hurry up," Jo exclaims, shoving his wrist into John's face, showing him his watch. "We've been here for two and a half hours!"

John shoves Jo's arm away. "Well I'm trying to get these stones," John responds, crouching back down and resumes picking the small white crystal with a purple squiggle in it out. Jo groans.

"Then speed it up," he practically shouts. John shushes him quickly, a panicked look on his face.

"Keep it down," he hisses at the red haired boy, who roll his eyes. "Are you trying to attract the Malamars?"

Jo tilts his head and thinks for a second, humming lowly. Then, he stands up straight, clenching his fist with a smirk. "I kind of do! After more than two hours of just standing around, you really build up your fighting energy, don't you Cinder?"

Jo's partner, Cinder the Cinderace, shouts in agreement, bouncing to its knees and throwing its head back like it usually does when getting ready for a fight. John groans and shakes his head. "Why did I bring you along? I knew you were going to be like this," he says, more to himself than Jo.

Jo just shrugs. "I don't know. It was pretty dumb on your part," he says, Cinder nods in agreement. John just sighs and gets back to his stone.

After fifteen more minutes of John working and Jo complaining the crystal comes out. John smiles widely as he pulls out his other stone. He holds them up together. The other one is pretty much the same as this one with the orb being white and a purple shape in it. The only difference is it has blue in the purple. John slips them into his pouch.

"Yay! You got your crystals," Jo says blandly, doing a no enthusiasm jazz hands. "Can we go now?"

John looks around. "Not quite. With all the new Mega Stones appearing I want to check and see if one I've been waiting for exists."

"Hey, that's not fair," Jo yells, making John flinch. "When we came here you said you wanted two specific stones. You have them so it's time to go!" Cinder squeaks in agreement, nodding along.

John mutters to himself, agitated. "Keep it down," he says quietly, and though his voice is low, Jo can hear the large amount of rage in it. "You're going to get us caught."

"We wouldn't even have to worry about getting caught if you would keep your word and get us out," Jo replies with an attitude, putting his hands on the waist of his black jeans.

John ignores him and continues to look around for more crystals, causing Jo more irritation. "We can come back later, but I want to get out, eat some food, and put my feet up," Jo says, sighing with exhaustion. John looks up and sees how tired the kid is and groans.

"Alright," he responds, walking to Jo, who's smiling widely. "Let's head out."

As they walk to the tunnel they came in from, a Malamar blocks the path. Then another joins it. Then another. And another. More and keep coming until there are at least twenty Malamars blocking the way. John pulls out his Pokéball.

"Looks like your getting your fight," he says to Jo. He looks over at the boy and sees him taking off his maroon jacket, revealing his bright red T-shirt. He ties the jacket around his waist and crouches down a bit, staring dead at the Malamars. His eyes are wide and his smile is maniacal. The kid scares John when in battle.

"Let's go, Cinder," Jo shouts and his partner dashes straight into the fray. "U-Turn!"

Cinder leaps forward with a shout, doing a flip and striking a Malamar on the head with its foot. Because Jo doesn't have any other Pokémon, Cinder just returns to his side. The rabbit lights up green for a second, showing Libro activate and becoming a Bug type. The Malamars begin to advance.

"Aura Sphere," John commands, sending out his Pokémon. Mewtwo pops out, its eyes glowing. It swipes its hand in a crescent in front of it, creating blues balls of power, which goes flying at the opposing Malamars, creating a dust cloud. The Malamars flash their lights, shining through the dust. "Avert your eyes," John says, him and Mewtwo blocking their sight with their arms.

Jo simply closes his eyes. "What he said but also use Double Team," he shouts at Cinder, which jumps forward with its eyes shut. It starts running quickly, gaining speed as it does, creating the illusion of multiple Cinderaces. This confuses the Malamars and they turn off their lights, trying to focus on Cinder.

Feeling the lack of shine, John, Jo, and their Pokémon unblock their vision. "Shadow Ball," John shouts, throwing his hand out. Mewtwo follows the same motion as last time, eyes lighting up and swinging its arm in front of it. This time, though, it creates purple balls of dark energy, launching them at the Malamars.

"And you use Pyro Ball," Jo yells, punching the air in front of him. All the Cinders kick a pebble around, which quickly catches fire. They then kick it at the Malamars. While only one actually hits, that combined with the Shadow Balls hit all the Malamars, knocking them all out.

Jo cackles with delight. "Great job, Cinder," he cheers and his partner runs up to him, high fiving each other.

Mewtwo hovers over to John. "Nice work," he says to it and Mewtwo nods. "Let's go," John shouts at Jo, who immediately begins running down the tunnel with a smile. "I meant together," John mumbles to himself, pinching the bridge of his nose. He then chases after Jo.

It wasn't hard for John to find Jo. He just had to follow the sound of fighting. John finally catches up and sees Jo jumping up and down, swinging his arms around as Cinder bounces around the area, landing random U-Turns and Pyro Balls on the Malamars, which quickly collapses. John approaches him. "Let's get out now," he says, grabbing Jo by the wrist. The red head yanks his arm away.

"Not now," he exclaims, starting to run again. "The fun literally just begun!"

John grabs his wrist again before he can get far. "This fun will turn into disaster if we don't get out now!"

Jo is about to snap back, but then Malamars begin to crowd them. Not just any Malamars, though. Mega Malamars. And there are so many that they fill the whole tunnel, practically standing on one another.

"Oh," Jo says with a small nervous chuckle. "Ready to get out?"

John rolls his eyes with a smirk. "Whenever you are," he replies and Jo nods. "Mewtwo, Teleport!"

Mewtwo's eyes glow and in a flash the four of them are out of the cave and back in the city. They sigh with relief, only for their comfort to be broken by a bang. They look to the right and see a large cloud of smoke. They dash over to it and find a man dressed in all black with his brown hair in a ruined bun with a Charizard fighting an army of Mega Malamars. There is a bright flash as the Charizard unleashes a Fire Blast, knocking a group out of their Mega forms, leaving them unconscious. However, more just take their place.

"He obviously needs help," John says, Mewtwo nodding in agreement. John laughs excitedly (and a bit insanely) beside him.

"Then let's go," he shouts, sprinting right into the fight, Cinder following happily. John sighs.

"He can't stand still for more than five seconds," John mutters with a chuckle, dashing along. When he gets down there Jo and the guy are already working together, Jo giving out random commands and the stranger finishing the job.

"Aura Sphere," John stated and Mewtwo quickly obeys, sending the blue orbs directly at the Mega Malamars, knocking some of them out.

"Follow up with Dragon Rush," the man in black commands. The Charizard roars with powers as it launches itself at the Mega Malamars John just hit, crashing into them with blue energy surrounding it.

"U-Turn! Pyro Ball! Double Team! Blaze Kick," Jo shouts beside them, Cinder doing all four of those on a random order, causing confusion and chaos among the opposing Mega Malamars.

After another thirty minutes of non-stop fighting, the group takes out the army. All of them are breathing heavily. The stranger begins to say something, but John speaks first. "You can thank us now."

The man stands up straight, his expression offended. "I'm sorry, what," he asks, confused.

"We just saved you," John replies. "It's only proper manners you thank us."

The stranger barks a laugh. "Saved me? As if! Me and Char had everything under control. Y'all's assistance just made it easier."

John growls, irritated. "Not really. It looked to me like you were surrounded and clearly was going to lose soon," he snaps back. The Charizard trainer rolls his eyes, his Pokémon doing the same.

"Well that's to you," he responds, crossing his arms. "And to you was wrong. We had that!"

John was about to argue back, but Jo cuts him off. "Could y'all shut up and look," he exclaims, pointing down the street. The other two follow his fingers and their faces go pale. Another army was coming, way larger than the last one. The stranger sighs.

"Look. I know a place we can go where we can be safe. Y'all can go back to your place once everything calms down out here," the stranger says, eyeing the Malamars then looking at us.

"We don't have a place," Jo replies sadly, Cinder's ear drooping as it nods.

"Then this place is perfect," the man says, hopping on Char, gesturing for them to follow. John and Jo return their Pokémon and climb on. Char spreads its wings and with one push soars into the air.

"We never exchanged names," the man in black yells over his shoulder. "I'm Hades. Y'all?"

Back to our main man Hades!

Char lands at the dead end, crouching down so the three of us can hop off. Once everyone is back on solid ground, I pet Char's neck.

"You did great today," I tell it and it nuzzles its head against me affectionately. "Go ahead and take a rest," I say. Char nods as the red beam sucks it into the ball.

I look back at the two newbies, who are eyeing their surroundings wearily. I chuckle. "You don't need to worry," I state, their heads snapping to me. "I'm not gonna end you."

"How'd you know-" John begins to ask as I crouch into the trash.

"I thought the same thing when I first came here," I answer before he can finish. After a bit of digging I find the trap door and open it. Their eyes widen with shock. "Welcome to the anti-Malamar club," I say making a gesture for them to enter.

John glances around one last time before entering. Jo follows behind him. I enter last, closing the door quickly. "Do you mind having Mewtwo use Psychic to move the trash back? We don't want the door to be found."

John nods as he pulls out a Pokéball from the brown pouch on his waste. He sends Mewtwo out, who was apparently listening and immediately moves the bags outside back in place. John then returns it to the ball and puts it in his brown jacket pocket.

Jo is already long gone, far ahead in tunnel. "Is he able to get lost in here," John asks, squinting his eyes to try to see farther. I shake my head.

"No. It's one path with a door at the end," I tell him. He nods and looks around at the tunnel. He has his hand in his black jeans, which his black shirt is tucked into.

"I worry about him," John randomly says, looking over at me.

"Why," I ask. I don't have a clue why we're talking about this, but the look in John's eye says he needs to get it out.

"The kid has gone through a lot. Lost his parents at a young age, joined a gang trying to find a family. He didn't know what he actually signed up for and they almost killed him when he refused to help them with illegal crimes. That's when I found him. Saved him from the mess. He's clung to me ever since. This was about two years ago." John goes quiet for a little bit. I don't really know what to say, so I just pat his shoulder awkwardly to at least show I'm listening. "What worries me though is how rash he is. He doesn't think before his decisions and just does things without a second thought. He loves to fight but only when challenged by others. He won't hurt anything without reason. He's very loving to and trusting of others, and I don't want him to do the same thing he did all those years again. He just wants a home but this world is a cruel place where people will take advantage of that need."

I nod my head. "Well don't worry. This place has some amazing people. They won't hurt him." I smile. "Promise."

John smiles back. This nice little moment is ruined by a bang up ahead. Me and John sprint down the tunnel, finding the door already open. "Okay, so I know I promised they wouldn't hurt him, but they would if I'm not there. They'll think he's an intruder and attack," I rush out, grabbing Char from my pocket. John groans and pulls out Mewtwo.

We get into the room and find Jo and Ava staring each other down, Cinder and Chewy glaring at each other.

"Why'd you stop," Jo asks, sounding offended. "You started this now let's go!"

"You're not a Malamarian. I don't have a reason to fight now," she says, pointing at Cinder. Her eyes lock onto me. "Hades, who is this maniac?"

Jo looks back at us and smiles. "He's with me. Along with this guy," I tell her, pointing at John, who's eyeing her cautiously, glancing at Jo occasionally. "Trust me. Their good people."

Ava sighs. "This is the second time in two months that I send someone on a grocery run and they come back with humans. Let me guess. He saved you?"

"No," I shout as John yells "Yes," causing more confusion for Ava.

"Which is it," she demands. Me and John begin explaining at the same time. "Silence," she shouts over us. "Hades. You explain first."

"So I was dealing with a Mega Malamar army just fine..." I begin explaining, rolling my eyes as John scoffs.

After me and John explain what happened

"Whether he saved you or not, he sounds like a good ally," Ava sums up, looking at John with interest.

"Yes, he is. But so is Jo. The kid is a literal demon in battle," I respond, looking at Jo with a smile. He smiles back.

"We have to wait for Cass to get back from clothes shopping, but I'm sure he'll agree to have y'all on the team," Ava says happily, drumming her fingers on the table.

"It's me," Cass shouts, entering the base. He walks into the kitchen and his eyebrows furrow with confusion when he sees the two new people.

"Hey! We were just talking about you," I exclaim, giving a smile and wave. Cass sets the bags down on the table and looks between the four of us.

"What did I miss," he asks, taking a seat. Ava gives him a wide smile.

"We have two people wanting to join our organization," she says, slowly rising to her feet. Cass smirks, following suit.

"You mean-" he asks, but doesn't finish. Ava nods.

"I do! They want to join the..."

I realize what's happening and shake my head. "Don't say it."

"Dramatic pause," Cass says, his excitement obvious in his voice. John and Jo look at each other confused. I groan, knowing what's about to be said.

"The Malamar Hatars," Ava finishes, throwing her arms out as Cass does jazz hands behind her.

I pinch the bridge of my nose, sighing heavily. John's face is contorted with cringe and disgust. Jo, though, is practically bouncing with joy.

"I love it," he shouts, pumping his fist into the air. "We have to join when it has a name like that!"

John looks at me, utterly appalled. I share his expression, nodding my head slowly. He sighs. "Well, we've got nowhere better. We'll join."

"Yes," Jo, Ava, and Cass cheer happily, hugging one another. I chuckle.

"Okay, back to business," I say, leaning forward in my seat. Everyone looks at me confused. "We need to discuss sleeping arrangements. We've only got room for four people including the living room. We now have five people."

Everybody looks at each other silently. No one wants to give up the chance for a bed. I groan. "Fine," I say with a sigh. "I'll be one of the two in the living room."

"I will, too," John speaks up with a disappointed tone. I give him a side eye.

"Copycat," I remark and he rolls his eyes.

"I already planned to," he responds heatedly.

"Then why'd you wait until after I said it," I ask with a grin. John looks at me for a second, thinking.

"Are you still upset about me saving you," he asks with a smug smirk.

"You didn't save me," I shout and John laughs. I just glare at him.

This is gonna be fun!

Sorry this took so long!

I've been busy lately and in my free time I've been playing Z-A. But hey! Better late than never, right?

I want to fully explain each character. John has short brown hair, brown eyes, a black shirt, black jeans, a brown jacket, a brown pouch around his waist, and brown boots. Jo has messy red hair, a maroon jacket, a red T-Shirt, bright red eyes, and red shoes.

I never did say ages. Cass is around 19, Hades is 18, Ava is 21, John is 22, and Jo is 15-16.

Unless somebody wants their character age changed, it should stay this way.

John was originally going to be based off @Thur55555555555 but they left before I could get how they wanted to be, but that's why John has Mewtwo. I knew they would at least want that.

I know Jo's back story was very random, and I normally like to build up to revealing it, but the moment felt right to me. I don't know why.
