Step-up solo battle goal - knock out with a fire-type one time

Step-Up Battle, Deluxe Pack EX, Excadrill Deck.
Goal - Knock Out your opponent's Active Pokemon 1 time with an attack from a Fire-type Pokemon.

Salazzle is a fire-type pokemon. I knocked out all three points with Salazzle but that goal was unmet at the end of the round. The poisoned and burned effects are part of the move, not an ability. So, I'd think the 30 damage from those effects would count as part of the move damage and fulfil that goal.

I played that deck again and used Typhlosion for all three points and it fulfilled that goal.

Does that make sense?

Special Conditions are applied as part of an attack, but the damage is passive, and only occurs between turns. Special Condition damage has never been counted as damage from an attack in physical TCG either.
