    Im more exited for Za. Then when I beat the game, then I will prolly be excited. Not right now though

    i want za cause its gonna be cool, also excited for that new gamefreak game that isnt pokemon and was on xbox direct or whatever its called

    I'm worried about the possibility of real-time battles being a permanent addition to the franchise, but other than that I'm pretty excited for it.

    No. Despite all the discourse on the internet highlighting the issues with the games, Sword and Shield and Scarlet and Violet are some of the best selling games in the series, and of all time. Game Freak have no incentive to change and will probably keep working to the same standard, because all of the sales data tells them it's working.

    I really hope I am wrong; that gen 10 turns everything around and proves to be a massive step up in quality. But I have scant reason to believe it will.

    I wouldn't worry about that. Game Freak have dragged the same battle system, warts and all, all the way from the 90s. They are so averse to change, I don't think they will start now.

    Much like the improvements PLA brought in that were not implemented in SV, I doubt gen 10 will play anything like Z-A. Legends seems to be their experiment and innovation containment series.
