Why the hate on mega draginite?

I'm not a Dragonite fan. Never have been.
The anime and video games try to make it cool but I've never cared for it.
That being said, I absolutely loved the Mega. It was so adorable!
That also being said, I don't usually like the "cute" Pokémon, either, so this is completely not like me
However, I've been loving the new Megas, enjoying the designs.
People are saying that Pokemon aren't putting the same effort in as the first time, but I think that's false.
If you look at the old designs, the majority of the time they kept the base design and just added some features.
That's what they're doing this time, too.
I just don't get the h@te.
