@Bellsprout51 can you show me a picture of that brown dino

In addition to leak culture, I consider dataminers to be villains for life as well.

That's absurd! Why?

for starters, hacking into the sensitive info and release any information before the final product is released resulting in a severe delay. I'd prefer to be surprised from the said game no matter what said item has in store.

Describing them as villains implies a severe ethical failing. Laws may vary country to country, but do you actually think someone accessing the data stored on their own devices to be ethically wrong?
You keep citing delays. Why? How does datamining cause delays? If a company decides to delay a release because they are upset that users found the data they installed in their game, is that not the company's own fault?
If you don't want people discovering information about future content, don't install it on their device.

@TheJeffers For starters, the companies are forced to revised the games completely to throw off the Dataminer's trail. Exhibit A, Nintendo switch 2 being delayed to holiday 2025.

Can you prove that as the cause of the delay, or is that just speculation?
How does changing the game throw off dataminers? Do you mean where the data is stored in the files and how it is secured? Or are you suggesting that they have to change the narratives or leak fake ones in an attempt to throw them off?
As far as I am concerned, if it's in the game files, it's public knowledge. You don't want people to know, a far better use of your time would be to not put it in the files.

especially when releasing sensitive information to the world wide web, yes. It's not the company's fault.

How do I stop companies installing data containing information on upcoming products on my devices? They decide the content of the updates they release, not me.
Should we all stop installing updates? Just in case the company was foolish enough to include information about unreleased projects?
What about if the base software also contains that information? Should we never buy or install software from that company ever again?
Are you seriously suggesting I shouldn't be allowed to look at the files stored on my own devices?
