The Late Grunt Era of Pokemon, The Grunt era took Place between 1898-1945 and was mainly about the rise of evil team Organizations, Some teams were bad like Team Rocket who has their Origins all the way back to the Dark War in the late 9th Century, Some were Good like Team Star who was made by the Paldean Government in 1914 to help in WW1 in case they gotten attacked, Not to mention there is also Team Aqua and Magma who were formed in 1873 and 1872 Respectively these two Team organizations were made back when Hoenn was Split into Two sides and once of their Purposes was to not Cause a war when Hoenn was split up but soon would cause a war of their own after Hoenn was united into one Nation on the 31st of May 1898.

The reason why all of them are Off the Coast of Southern Morrocco is pretty Simple, ''Continental Drift", Thats why their Part of an island Cluster and Not to mention Even if all the regions were spaced out from each other than how could some Pokémon who are in a different region then their main area even get there, plus the Countries who have their hands on the 9 Pokemon regions Us, Uk and France have a pretty big empire in Controlling Island Territory.

This implies that the North American, Eurasian, Pacific, and African Plates moved to be near one another without significantly affecting the regions' geographies, which is practically impossible. In addition, Japan also had a fairly large sea-based empire that expanded from the Korean Peninsula to many islands in the Pacific Ocean, so it's bizarre to omit it for that reason.

Blocked area that really should be there for no reason like they could’ve got rid of it once the DLC came around but they missed out on it

Well you said It “had” a sea based empire, I know Japan does control some islands but it’s only in the Pacific while all the Pokémon regions are situated in the Atlantic
