I have a fun fact. Everyone knows you can filter Recent Discussions (
community.pokemon.com/discussions) to include only followed categories. But, if there is any capitalisation after the / in the link (community.pokemon.com/Discussionsorcommunity.pokemon.com/DISCUSSIONS, for example), it still leads to the Recent Discussions page, but without the ability to filter. Even if you usually have it set to filtered (which is something the site remembers even if you log in on a different device or browser or in an incognito tab), it'll still be unfiltered. Because I type in the full link almost every time I visit the forums (and it's way better to immediately go to Recent Discussions than go to home and then have to press a button or two). I don't like bookmarking things or using a search engine to open a site. The only downside is that typos are dangerous, but I usually spot them.

Today's Yellow session is going to be a long one when I inevitably post it. I caught Jynx, Weedle, Ekans, Meowth, Psyduck, Voltorb and Zapdos this morning and I resurrected Kabuto and Aerodactyl. I hope to get Raichu, Lickitung and Articuno today too, maybe Mewtwo as well if I'm lucky. Have to beat Saffron and Cinnabar to get Golem though and still have Alakazam, Porygon and Moltres to go after this. Then it's a major slog or training and evolving everything I've caught 🤣

Imagine using Mew, much less Mewtwo. Any Psychic type with a Special that high with the Defense + Bulk to go with it is crazy. Presently spending time training/evolving Pokemon while simultaneously Training up my team to level 50 to catch up with two members in the box that are 50/51 respectively. Once I hit 50 on every team member, I'll continue the plot until the just before the E4 and then focus 100% on the Dex at that point. I don't care if my team hits level 70 when doing it because I've beaten it before while on the mid to upper 50's.

I don't know. I tried to research it but couldn't find a reason. What I could find, though, is that the backwards-facing knees of a bird are actually heels and their knees are hidden in feathers. Also, another fun fact I heard, most bones in a bird are rigid and can't move due to being fused together (and they have hollow spaces for air on the inside that are connected to the respiratory system and help them breathe) because it aids with flight. Interestingly, their neck bones are more mobile than a human's, which I think was because they can't move their eyes much.

Super cool! Hmm I think I heard about the hollow bone thing, (for flight is all I knew) and I've watched my chickens turn their necks at humanly impossible angles while preening/cleaning/sleeping etc.... I like birds too 🙂

Enjoying the Yellow Journal log? Got some training to do since an upcoming trainer has an annoying Butterfree(he spawns Chansey via Glitch too so he's quite valuable). I just got to review the other trainers since I think Rhyhorn, Growlithe, Magmar and other Pokemon are coming up.

Yeah, I'm liking it! You keep saying "via glitch" but I'm not sure I understand. For example, Electabuzz you said can only be spawned by glitch but I'm pretty sure it's at the Power Plant with Zapdos. And now you're talking about a Chansey glitch Butterfree trainer? I'm just confused about that but other than that I'm enjoying!

@Hades0918 Look at the YT video I posted that explains the glitch in depth. Basically, the glitch permits me to face ANY Pokemon in the game so long as I can call it's Hexadecimal value in memory. The list is as follows: Hexadecimal list The glitch uses the Special stat of the last Pokemon you faced. So that Butterfree Trainer you referenced, the Butterfree has a Special stat of 40. That matches Chansey in the Hexadecimal list and this is for all three versions(Red/Blue/Yellow). Electabuzz does not appear in Yellow version(only appears on Blue). Ditto Magmar who only appears on Red version but the Engineer I face in Entry#8 that I just posted would work for Red and Blue version, hence you can get Magmar super early.

I use the glitch to start wild encounters with Pokemon I cannot get. For Yellow version specifically, it'd be the following: Weedle/Kakuna/Beedrill(only Caterpie or Butterfree in Yellow), Raichu(Pikachu won't evolve), Team Rocket Pokemon(Ekans, Meowth, Koffing) and trio of Electabuzz, Magmar and Jynx. Id then add Fighting Dojo(Hitmonchan specifically since you can only pick one), Omanyte(I take Dome Fossil for a reason), Flareon + Eevee(you only get one Eevee), Lickitung + Mewtwo(Cerulean Cave, aka Post-Game) and Trade Evo's(Golem, Gengar and Alakazam). I also do Porygon because 9999 Game corner coins is nuts and I try to do Safari Zone Pokemon because the catch mechanic there is a royal pain. I still have to do Kangaskahn(because I can't get a Special stat of 2... At least I don't know if a Pokemon can get that low), Exeggcute(he's easy) and Tauros because no Trainer has a Pokemon with a Special stat of 60(I could Ditto catch it though). Every other Safari Zone catch(besides Fishing encounters) can be obtained via glitch.

Also, this glitch can be used to duplicate items by basically multiplying the item that occupies the 6thbslot in your way item list. That means you can get tons of Vitamins(HP/Attack/Defense/Speed/Special), TM's(so you can get more use out of strong ones like Body Slam, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam and Psychic) and Rare Candies(making leveling way faster). Can even get tons of Master Balls if you wanted to.

LOL! I've had previous coworkers who fudgel like pros... they drove me nuts because I knew what they were doing but the boss never noticed or just looked the other way. The problem was, then I would have to pick up their slack and since I was salaried and not hourly like they were, I had to stay later than a normal workday to get the work done. Yeah, they were milking the system. 😐

My cat is so dumb but yet smart at the same time
Honestly, there's only two smart things I've seen from her, but I don't think she's only dumb
But she is definitely not the smartest
That may sound rude, but I promise you I'm not being a jerk
I love her dearly, but I can't ignore facts
I've seen her lose to a dead moth!

How does one do that I'm not sure but she has!
Also, she'll chase her tail (like a dog lol) and then she'll be confused when she loses it
First of all, how do you lose something that's attached to your body?

I actually don't think she knows that it's connected to her
I think this because when she does catch it and bite it, she'll gasp in surprise and look at me and my family with offense as if we're the ones that did it
NO BABY YOU JUST BIT YOURSELF!!!
Anyways, she does have moments where she's bright
The first one is if she can't tell of there is water in her bowl, she put her paw into the container and give it a shake to test how much water is there
I'm genuinely surprised she knew how to do that
The next thing is my mom thought it was crazy at first but quickly realized it was true
So me and ma were chatting in the kitchen
I think she was cooking and I was just there to talk
I don't remember what we were talking about, though…
Anyways, mid sentence my mom stops because she hears a scraping noise
Me and her both look over to see Oreo (my cat) dragging her food and water from its place in the kitchen to the garage door
I said "I think she wants her stuff in the garage" and I don't remember what my mom said but she didn't think Oreo would care where her food and water is
Well as we watched Oreo continued to take them to the garage door but couldn't get them into the room
Mom told me "Go ahead. Put them in there and see what she does"
So I did and Oreo gave a little meow then went to the spot her food and water used to be and did her happy roll (imagine a dog rolling in mud)
Yeah, ever since then Oreo's food and water have been in the garage
She put it there and I'm just shocked that she cared where her stuff went and that she knew how to drag it in the direction if the room she wants
May seem crazy to think that's smart, but, again, she's lost to a dead moth before
Didn't think there was enough brains in my cat for her to do that
Why I shared this?

lol I love that so much. Luma (my cat) is very smart about her tail though. One time, she was playing with this plasticky thing with screws on it (no idea what it was but my dad needed it for something) and I made her stop, obviously because WHAT IF YOU CHEW ON THE SCREW OR CUT YOURSELF?! (Sharp sharp screws) so I turn her around. Then she looks behind her back at the screwy thing and SWISHES HER TAIL AROUND TO MOVE IT 😂 IT WAS HILARIOUS!! She had fun with that. Im glad you shared this! It made me genuinely happy!

I JUST GOT HIT WITH A RANDOM MOMENT OF MEMORIES!!!
This was back in 2025
A few months after I joined
I had strangely easily climbed the Leader Board
@UnovanZorua and @clasingla were two of the highest ranking members, but I was catching up to them quick
And I remember how we made a competition for a bit, keeping track of one another's increases and drops and how close we were to each other
It really wasn't a big deal, but I was so excited watching it and updating them as well as when I got an update
Gods that feels so long ago but it really wasn't
