I was going to write tonight, but… sigh I'm to tired. Honestly pretty sad about it, but I want to write in a time I know will be my best, not when it may turn out awful due to exhaustion!

(I know that nobody would have known that I was going to write if I hadn't said this, but I just wanted to type this for who knows what reason)

Me and my dad just played Champions together!

He doesn't play Pokémon, but I randomly asked him "If I download the have on my sister's Switch, would you play it with me?"

I genuinely expected a no since he doesn't play Pokémon but he said yes!

I got it downloaded, he played the tutorial, chose Charizard, and we started battling!

HE ACTUALLY WON OUR FIRST BATTLE!!!

I was shocked and engaged and proud all at once

The thing is, though, that he knew which attacks were stronger and planned his kill shots!

I had to get my redemption, so we rematched

MY MACHAMP BARELY MANAGED TO DEFEAT ALL FOUR OF HIS POKÉMON IN DOUBLES!!!

BARELY!!!

I was on my knees from the tension of that game!

It was fun and he said he'll play with me again in the future!

Me miss Thur... 😢

Word of the week: Vibe

This one became a huge thing when I was seven (possibly sooner than that but that's when I remember hearing it for the first time)

Me, though, I don't use a word until I completely understand it, so I never used the word until I was ten

So the term's meaning can change depending on context

You can say "Ooh, I get good vibes from this," or "This place give me negative vibes"

It kind of means the aura or feeling something/someone gives you

One more use is "We vibing," meaning that you and someone else (or a group) is getting along great

So I have had many story ideas

However, I want to know if any of these would be interesting to y'all before I make it a goal to eventually work on them

My first idea is a Volo story. So as we know it is revealed that he is still alive in Z-A. I plan for the story to be about his journey to become immortal and how and why he did it. I will create a backstory for him and there will be character development. I don't have actual events planned but I have his motive figured out. I don't want to flesh the idea out more and nobody be interested.

My next idea is something similar to DnD but it's not a campaign. You see, after starting the DnD with @clasingla I have had many more character ideas. However, I don't know how long this campaign will last and if there will be another after this one. So, I plan to use my characters in this story! I will use dice rolls when writing events, so if a character fails it's not me choosing them to. It's the dice's decision. I was planning on putting Blaze and Beira (with and Ashes mention) in Lance and Homare's story, but if this idea interests anyone I'll choose to put them in here. If you like this idea and have an idea for a character (a Pokémon with DnD traits) share the idea with me and I'll consider them!

Another idea is a person from our world getting transferred into the Sw/Sh video game. It will follow the exact plot of the games, however what makes me want to do this is the main character will constantly try to break the game and do the things you're not allowed to (like go off path or choose non-existing dialog options). This would literally be made to be funny and there will be many "Sonia is the villain" comments.

My last idea (for now) is turning my Legends video game that I've been developing into a story, that way my region and Pokémon will be put into existence (because I know it will never become a game).

Since January 1st I've been saying 2026 will an amazing year.

Told my parents that the moment it happened

My mom just rolled her eyes and laughed

I was dead serious, though

At the time my logic was this:

30th Pokémon Anniversary was coming up

I knew that Gen 10 would be announced

Even though I wasn't interested at the time, I knew Pokopia was coming

I knew Champions was coming

And lastly I knew Duskbloods was coming out this year

Those are some really awesome things!

I continued with these thoughts but, I'll be honest, I lost a bit if that optimism when Gen 10 was announced to be Switch 2 exclusive and the 30th Anniversary Presents was such a disappointment

However, I have refound my faith!

Here's why:

As stated above, Champions and Duskbloods are coming this year

Gen 10, even though next year, has been announced

My mom agreed that, as long as it's my only present, she'll get me a Switch 2 for Christmas (with Winds and Waves!)

And, the thing that truly revived my faith, I found out today that there will be a graphic novel continuing off of my favorite show that got canceled. The Owl House!

I truly believe that this year is going too be the best year of all time!

Word of the week: Rizz

My cousin spent a good week teaching me the definition of this word

I used it in a sentence properly and I don't think I've ever seen her more proud of me lol

Alright, so the word pretty much means charming

It is a shortened version of the word "Charisma" (Cha*rizz*ma)

I feel like a good way to think of it is from the Nelly song "Affair"

"I like her style, her sneeze, her whole demeanor"

That's the best I can describe

Maybe look up charisma to get a better understanding
