Okay, to be clear I meant educational memes, YouTube videos, musicals, and animes. Not just let us sit around and do nothing. Tell me something and I'll forget it. Repeat it non-stop and I'll get annoyed. Make it a joke and I'll remember it. Make it a musical I'll memorize it. Make it an anime I'll learn it. Words on a screen/book doesn't do (me) any good and a teacher talking to me gets on my nerves. I'm an independent learner that will ask for help when needed But things like History and Science are not best taught in words. That is a see to learn imo. But I didn't feel like getting into details. That's why I summarized it with "7 hour long speech"

i think the current education system encourages cramming and therefore you aren't actually learning anything because you are so focused on grades instead of concept like i couldn't tell you what things i learned last year i also feel experience is way more important then presentation i learned way more about writing by writing fanfic instead of english classes

sir_uledgeI think it goes without saying that the education system needs reform. High schoolers can't read, middle schoolers can't tell time, and 8th graders don't know their US states and capitals. As @clasingla was saying, the current school system (at least in the US) encourages cramming and optimizing for the next week rather than the next year. Nobody actually ends up learning anything and it's countless hours of our lives gone. Not only this, but I've ran into high schoolers that don't know basic table manners - how to hold utensils, chewing with your mouth closed, etc. I'm not even expecting a bunch of Queen Antoinette's, I just want to be around people that know how to function like normal human beings.

She doesn't see him as anything more than a best friend but she is a bit more of a flirt with him than she is with others.
Lida: A good vibe but sees nothing impressive or memorable.
AZ: Very nice guy. She helps with the Hotel often. He gives her a free stay when she needs. After he dies she literally breaks into tears and visits his grave daily.
Ivor: Thinks he's a con artist but can't stop from liking him. His energy is contagious to her and she always feels full of energy with him.
Gwen: Hates her. With a passion. She hates how Gwen disrespects Naveen and feels possessive of Canari when she's around. She knows she's threat but doesn't like not having Canari's undivided attention.
Canari: Not a fan of her content... But... Secretly she's dating her. Cass fell for her when Canari cursed her out for the first time. After that she made it a mission to win the streamer's heart (and she did!). While I see a bratty, immature, overgrown child, Cass sees an adorable and feisty girl that just knows what she wants. Anyways, Canari doesn't want people to know, which does irritate Cass but she respects it. I have an entire relationship planned for them. Secret offline dates. I imagine Canari gets caught up streaming and forgets to eat, so Cass will visit and give her food (staying off camera for her). She even introduces Naveen to her and force him to advertise his brand to her. Canari forces Cassandra to watch all her videos, which Cass isn't into but let's her anyways with a soft smile. The streamer loves hanging out with Cass because there's no stress of being popular. Canari complains a lot to her, which Cass happily listens to.
Gramps: Likes the guy because he's nice. Enjoys hearing Canari's memories with him. But personally doesn't have any strong attachments to him.
Jacinthe: Hates the woman. Practically a tradition for her to march into the hotel just for her to insult Jacinthe.
Lebanne: Pities the maid. Genuinely does. She'll intentionally rile her up to unlock the concealed demon. Secretly plotting a way to free her.
Phillip: She Just doesn't like him and enjoys destroying him in battle. Not at all intimidated by him.
Corbeau: The man makes her laugh. To her he seems dumb because he tries to seem tough and intimidating but to her he's just a cute little guy that she loves to tease. She'll agree to help the Rust Syndicate often but she's not actually a member.
Coffee peeps: She doesn't know their history but she thinks there's something up with them. She tries to provoke them often to get it out of them.
Jett: Thinks she's a scam and hates her. Only helps because it gives her a Key Stone.
Jett bg: She likes the guy. He's chill and she can't deny he has swag.
Korrina: Won't admit it but she sees her as a rival. Respects her strength and drive but still sees herself as far better.
Ansha: Cute kid but couldn't care less about her existence.
Emma: In love with her looks. Could care less about the detective herself, though.
Mable: Doesn't like the woman but enjoys getting rewards.

They used new VA's for the Avatar Aang movie as opposed to the old cast despite the characters being a few years older. Katara hadn't even had kids yet with Aang afaik. She played Katara during Legend of Korra back when it was made in 2012-2014. Was one of the final roles she did but she was also ~90 bleeping years old when she stopped. Mel Brooks is still going and the guy is 100!!

Just announced release date of Season 4 of Horizons: February 27th of next year... Keep in mind that Season 3 finished up on September 18th or over two weeks ago. That means we have to go October, November, December, January and pretty much all of February before we even get the first batch of Episodes. I don't think Japan had to wait that long between seasons.. ugh. I'm about half way through the final part of Season 3 but I can finish it if I just sit down to do it. Oh and it's on Netflix, which makes sense since they had the first three seasons.

You don’t have to stop, but if so much pressure is building up inside your brain, I’d say lay off from using it too much. I mean of course thinking is important but I think you know what I mean. I love that energy! But school is my problem not here. And the biggest issue is all my mid-terms are 9 days away and I'm scared I won't make it because I thought I was closer to done than I was and honestly I should have been but my brain is being slow because I can't focus on the info and it's not this place's fault but because my brain is overworked in general and just feels dead and I just wish school would go away but alas I'm stuck with it. But I can't go from this place. My visits here are what makes life manageable and less stressful

Yikes.. I'm not in college, but I do somewhat understand where you're coming from. I also agree with what Voltareon and Morpekofreako said - it's ok to take a break. Remember that everything is temporary. Your midterms are in 9 days. So, with this in mind, take it one day, one hour, heck, even one minute, at a time. One saying I've always liked is that "the little things paint the big picture." College is NOT permanent. I'm not saying that to downgrade your situation - because I fully understand you. But look - 9 days, then you can calm down on the studying a bit. Remember, once that deadline is passed - it's over. You've made it this far. And, what have I seen from the short time I've known y'all? You are a very strong person Hades, and please, never forget that. Like I said a few lines ago, one moment at a time, and you'll get it done. Nobody can promise you life is gonna get better, but no one can promise it's gonna get worse either. I remember we talked a bit before, and I think we can both relate to each other a bit. And I can tell you right now, you're doing great.

So.. about my ideas for the island thing. 1: The mystery boxes should be decided in advance by the gamemaker to prevent confusion (I was very confused lol). Also, the items shouldn't be magical or anything, just ordinary things with a bit of flair. 2: We could do it in MC? Most people here have it and its a great survival sandbox. Probably won't happen tho as theres a few issues with that idea (theres no good Pokemon mod for Bedrock). 3: The mole is predetermined at the start through spoiler blockers, but if you want you can play a more chaotic role. 4: One session each week on maybe friday, last time I got really exhausted from doing it every day. If somebody is busy on that day or time and wants to participate, then we figure out a different time.

You guys would still have freedom over your actions and what you do, but I control the game. No more lore. No magical items. DEFINITELY NO STORY CREATION!!! I hate to be a control freak but I'm the gamemaster. I won't force you into any actions but I will block certain things (I think it's clear what). I feel like that's fair. Anyways, the idea is the group of you are famous. Why will be up to you but I'd have categories to choose from. This comes with each role's strengths and weaknesses. No one will have more power than another (the original island plan…). And the reason you are all here is the wealthiest man in the country, named Hades, has invited you to his great party. A group of celebs! What could be better? He invites you guys into his glorious mansion, show you around the place, and lead you to a specific room. No more details (haven't had time to think) but long story short he traps you all in there and gives you guys a week to escape his mansion. Every day (or every other if we don't have enough people for that) one person at random would be eliminated (not just from his twisted game but from the world itself). So you guys need to act fast and think fast to escape, solving riddles and puzzles, finding clues, etc etc. Could you guys make it out? I don't think we'll ever know. I haven't done it to avoid another island situation…

it’s boring without backstory though. Because it’s much harder to give your character a personality without backstory. And then that removes a LOT of possibility for interactions.

But I explicitly stated no back story. There was no plot or story and you can make personality without back story. There was no lore. Character interacted just fine without anything. If you want a back story I'll give each role one but the players won't make it. I don't want any complex, advanced, and/or deep story. Just a one time game.

Hm. Yes, that would work really well actually. However, the only downside to that is I don't want offended if I turn any of them down. I struggle with saying no… I don't like conflict. But if there can be no hurt feelings I don't mind that.

If you make it, we may not know it as well, so it is still just as hard and makes it basically just a "why not just not use it?" situation. You did also eventually say we could make a bit of backstory. Then again, what did I say? I said it's harder, not impossible.

I only said that because you were making back story and that left out everyone else. Everyone is equal. No one above the other. I wasn't gonna let you have more. I never wanted back story in the last one. Which is why I'm leaning blocking it in this one, which will probably never actually exist

maybe we could give personality traits since you don’t want backstory since I feel backstories can deeply effect how characters behave and choices they make. I feel personality traits could do something similar yet not as much as a replacement. Though the characters would probably be more flat.

In Unite, you chat or say (I don't VC) words in non-English and either they warn you with the generic "inappropriate content" or you get chat banned. I've heard of VC users getting 100-year banned from their accounts (locked out completely) for non-English but perfection ok words. Horrible isn't it, especially considering English itself has words made up of various languages, not to mention the Spainglish so many speak in over here, right muchacho?
