Well it centers around all Sonic’s friends and you could use Sonic and one of his friends as a partner. With 1 player the player could switch between Sonic and his partner while the other was AI controlled. With 2 players P1 was Sonic and P2 was the partner. So the trailers would release only Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Rouge as partners, but actually there’s roughly 25 characters.
