Also, I just realised that Beedrill is Bug/Poison type and not Bug/Flying. I thought they changed Bug to be weak to Psychic moves for some reason...

I was fighting a Bug type trainer for a side quest and noticed that her other Bug types (other than Heracross) weren't weak to Delphox's Psychic.

I've been a Pokémon fan for longer than I can even remember (my first Pokémon game was X, and the first one I beat was Sun) so that was embarassing.

I've had moments like that.
I thought Mega Altaria was Flying and Dragon…
I used a Dragon attack on it and got so confused when it didn't work.
Then I remembered.
And I became a fan during the Mega Era.
I pride myself in my knowledge and was so ashamed of myself when I realized this!

The trainer I fought just implied the reason random NPCs in Z-A can use Mega Evolution while almost no one in XY could.
Something about AZ travelling to Hoenn to discover the origins of Mega Evolution and telling Quasartico what he learned. Judging by the mention of Quasartico, it's an excuse for why nearly nobody in XY used it.

I tried ranked battles. I'm rank H now and they're much easier than I expected (or maybe it's just my Delphox having been trained to the max in everything).

It's been very fun to Dazzling Gleam all those Garchomp and Mega Feraligatr. I've found the real-time battle system horrible and annoying in the main game, but online it's fun to sneak up on people and get K.O.s with my Delphox, to be honest.
