So About That DLC...

Maybe it's not MEANT to be just a city sort of thing like the ones you are comparing it to (which, to be honest, I have never played or even ever heard of before). Maybe you're meant to be in… I don't quite have a word for it, but it might not exactly be meant to be 100% a city. After all, we have Wild Zones and a Battle Royale at night.

I've never heard of either of them, either. However, even if they are similar and, possibly, better than this game, I don't think that should make Z-A worth less. It can still be worth it without being at the same level as other games. They're determining value based on other games, not this game itself.

So I'm reading the description of the DLC and it says "Encounter Pokémon Both New and Familiar" and I always assumed that meant that their new due to having Megas but familiar because their old Pokémon.
But what if there's a second meaning?
Might be a stretch, but the DLC could be referencing regional variants as well! Kalosian forms with their own unique Megas! They're new because they've changed but familiar because they're old Pokémon just different designs!
Or, back to my theory that I posted with this, they're Paradoxes and Pokémon we already have just from another universe!
Or they could be literal and there are going to be new Pokémon in the DLC along side ones we already know!
What do y'all think?

The reason DLC gets hate is because prior to the Switch, Pokémon never did DLC. Yet Gen 8 drops and they start doing DLC like other Nintendo franchises. No longer are we getting the "finished" product anymore but rather here's something for $60(now $80+) and here's a few more things that ought to have been in the base game(including Pokémon), but we want another $20(or w/e it costs now).
As for what the DLC would be about, I have no idea. The fact they confine you to Lumiose City means they cannot have you go to other parts of Kalos so it'd probably be something similar to Sun2/Moon2 with Ultra Wormholes or w/e. Namely you go into a portal to another dimension as opposed to having players go to other towns within Kalos(something that MIGHT have enticed me to get Z-A if that were to have happened. Would love to see Anistar City or even Shalour City for more Mega Evolution insight).

This feels hateful and I literally made this post to avoid hate and just put ideas.
I don't get why people can't just do that!
That's also what I'm thinking.
I never got Sun/Moon but I know the wormholes and stuff and I'm thinking it will be like that.
Also, for just one city, the game is amazing!
I like it better than most of the big world games I've played.
It's a great game and without trying it you can't really say for sure if this is content that would have went with the main game.
I do agree, though, that the game would have been better with other Kalos cities.
Again, though, this about ideas for the DLC.

There was some leak- nobody jump me, I don't fully believe it myself, just stating what I saw- about Mega Meowstic, Tatsugiri, Absol Z, Lucario Z, and Garchomp Z. Personally I cannot imagine a better Mega Absol than what we have now, and also Mega Tatsugiri sounds like either something Nintendo would totally do or absolutely never do

Leeks don't bother me, but I promise I won't tell a certain Major lol.
Also, I'm a huge Meowstic fan, so I would love that! The male and female better get different Megas!
Also, Lucario, Garchomp, and Absol are three of my all time favorites, both by themselves and their Megas! I would literally d13 of joy if they got another!

You should definitely try the games I am talking about, a good amount of them are on the switch. But still the game advertises itself as a new adventure in Lumiose City, if a game is going to choose such a limited area for the game to take place in then at least make that city feel like a true city rather than a bunch of buildings I can't even enter. The wild zones are nice but they really don't act well as a replacement for vast fields to explore but they have their purpose, however it does not excuse Lumiose basically having as many (maybe even less) fully interactable buildings as in XY, especially for a price tag that says "hey, I am a loaded city with tons of content to explore". If you played other games that are also condensed in a singular city you will understand what I mean, this game should have been priced for 40$.

I’m saying don’t compare it to city based games, because that might not be quite what it is. And I prefer dense, small Wild Zones to the empty fields of Paldea (or any big open world game) any day.
