So a few more ideas.

Paradox Pokémon.

What if they were all basic Pokémon only, but they were evolvable. But they all had different ways of evolution, including unique stones and held items.

When they evolve, they obviously become either a new robot or dinosaur, but it is so different from the usual evolution, if usual Pokémon even has one, that you can tell just how different these times were.

I think it would have made the Paradoxes more exciting and enjoyable.

Another is a stage 3.

Why stop at 2?

Could you imagine a Chardrac or Charco?

Still working on the name, but it's a mix of Charizard (or the Char prefix the Charmander evolutions have) and Draco (which means dragon).

I just think stage 3s would be fun!

I think it was a joke, however both Kirby and Pokémon are owned by Nintendo. Furthermore, in Super Smash Bros, both Kirby and Pokémon characters are playable, so that is official interaction.
