May I change my screen name?
Would it be possible to change my screen name and username? I originally named them after my favorite video game series and I want to change them to something more original.
Also I haven’t been here on the Pokémon Website in a long time, so I think it’s about time for a change.

In order to change it you need to open a support ticket, and they will only allow the change if the name has offensive language or personal data in it.

Well that sucks. I was hoping to change mine to something more original as well.

I understand that they do not want people changing their username every five minutes. It can make it hard to identify other users both for moderators enforcing the rules and other users trying to identify who they are interacting with.
That said, I do not see why we shouldn't be allowed to change our usernames from time to time. How about once a month? Once every 3 or 6 months? Even once a year is better than never being able to change it at all.
We could even have our previous usernames displayed on our profile to make it easier for everyone to identify members post name change.
