The Pokémon TCG Live game client will be offline for maintenance from 15:00 ~ 19:00 (UTC) on July 22, 2025 to address known issues. Please see the Maintenance Notice - 07/22/25 announcement for more information.
The team is currently investigating increased player reports related to intermittent disconnections, freezing, and general latency issues that may be impacting the gameplay experience in Pokémon TCG Live.
Temporary Card Bans - 07/17/25
Hello Trainers.
We are aware of the following known issues with recently released cards:
- Prism Energy (BLK #086) does not correctly appear and becomes unavailable for use after being added to a deck and entering a match.
- Hydreigon ex (WHT #067) "Greedy Eater" ability incorrectly activates when a different Pokémon knocks out an opponent's Basic Pokémon.
While we continue working towards resolving these, we have made the decision to temporarily ban both cards in Pokémon TCG Live, effective starting July 17, 2025 at 5:10 PM PT (24:10 UTC). As a result, the above cards will be unable to be added to decks, and decks already containing the cards will be marked as Invalid and unavailable for use.

UPDATE: In addition to Prism Energy (BLK #086), we have also temporarily banned Hydreigon ex (WHT #067) from use in Pokémon TCG Live due to a separate issue, effective starting at 5:10 PM PT (24:10 UTC).
The above notice has been updated to reflect the additional card ban, and we will continue to provide updates as they become available.
